Now this one is a match, but not sealed. If you know of a site/place to find a sealed one, and not E-Bay, I don't do business with ebay at all, trusted sites only.

Sorry, I'm having a hard time finding any specs on these things. Even on the old proboard. I'll check the sites you've listed for that bearing, but being an odd size and all, at least that's what vbx.com is saying.

I just replaced the stock OC bearings with double sealed Nachi bearings in the gearbox. My Q. is whats the torque specs for gear case? Or, torque specs for the whole engine? And, I'm having a time finding a sealed bearing for the inner clutch shaft bearing. I do know the num. for it; 6203A!!!! Any where to look for that specific bearing???

Every time I took off the clutch, somtimes if I didn't clean it very well and didn't get all of the grease off, it would do that to mine as well. It revs higher than normal when taking off at a stand still and.. ready... set.... jump
If riding when just started, (COLD), sometimes it will.
Just a thought.

With CVT cover off I put my finger on the end of the bendix and hit the starter. and, no, I didn't hear any noise out of the clutch or variator areas. as for riding with the CVT cover off I wouldn't advise it. Besides, I didn't need the engine on anyway. You can hear it only at a walking speed or slower. Thanx for the thought, though now I know it's not the Tq spring binding. Darren You said you only heard the noise when there is a load on the scooter. Yes you can put your finger on the bendix and start it with the cover off-- but with the cover off and the bendix still in, it's much, much harder to have a load on the scoot and go while your finger is still on, or without something holding the bendix after it's started. As for riding without the cover on, it shouldn't hurt to go 30 feet one way and back--- unless you're overly worried about a pebble or two getting inside the case. I wouldn't recommend riding very far without the cover on, but during troubleshooting like this, I'd take the risk for a very, very short trip with it off---if I couldn't determine where the sound was coming from. Ok, this is all getting off point a little. NOTE: ENGINE OFF, CLUCK/CLICK/POP/PIT/TICK/TACK HOW EVER YOU WANT TO DESCRIBE THE NOISE. ENGINE OFF ONLY WHEN SITTING ON BIKE. ENGINE OFF ROLLING EITHER DIRECTION. ENGINE OFF LEANING BIKE TO THE RIGHT MORE NOISE ENGINE OFF LEANING LEFT LESS NOISE ENGINE OFF You won't be able to hear it with the engine on and riding with a "rev up" to have load on the eng. Even if I didn't drill the two holes on the muffler "stock" you still wouldn't hear it. Engine has got to be off when listening for it. And, also. when warmed up, "ENGINE OFF", just after a ride, you can hear 3-5 pops rolling backwards and 2-3 rolling forward. P.S. I sometimes don't explain things right. You know, forget to write some thing, that could/couldn't be the factor. So forgive me if I leave some thing out. Then too, if 500 people read the same book and only 200 liked it. But, out of that 200 that liked it all have a different outlook of the story. Same book, different version.

[replyingto=alleyoop]alleyoop[/replyingto]It doesn't do it on the center stand or rolling with me off it. Only when I'm on it. Though, it is a little loud like a slidding sound on the center stand.

[replyingto=david3336]david3336[/replyingto]139QMB by the way. I forgot to mention that.
I know this isn't a bicycle or the car I had. But, everytime the bearings went out on my bicycle you would feel and hear the kinda 'tick-pick tick' more than a pop. In my car both front bearing/Hubs went out (Not at the same time of course). I didn't know what that was untill I hear the roar on the freeway to one side (pass.), but "thock" with an echo sound in the tire when going slow in R.
Now, about a 2 months ago, I changed the 1k T spring to a 1.5k, the belt, and installed 6g sliders. After that I was getting a little howl at 40-up bike spd. I figured that it was vibration from the new belt. I read about that one happening. 2 wks ago it started the poping when rolling backward, engine off, in the rear-end, and you can hear the echo from the popping in the tire. This is like the bearings in my car, but also sounds crank bearings on my bicycle. Now
I read somewhere that the T spring can bind up on the Tq sheeve. This is the reason for that thought.
everyday driver, 7100mi. Nothing is changed other than the my Sig. and here.
And,..... that's about it.

[replyingto=alleyoop]alleyoop[/replyingto]I just thought of this one. lol.
Could it be the tq. spring binding, the popping I'm hearing.
