I keep a few on my scooter to give to friends if the situation presents itself. You can find them online by the dozen for pretty cheap.

Same here. No one to ride with. Just haven't met a scooterist around here that rides. And would be fun to ride with. I like riding alone too though I might be gettin' together with the Marietta Square riders as they get together at the square every Thurs at 7. But can't do it now due to the suspended license It's been a while since the Marietta GASS club had a group ride. Once your suspension is over, why don't you suggest a day trip? I'll bet a bunch of people would join in.

Good luck with your business! If I come down that way, I'd certainly rent a scooter from you.

I never even look at my speedometer any more. I have a GPS mounted, and use it exclusively to monitor speed.

I've got my Garmin Nuvi mounted about the same place as yours, and it was sometimes hard to read in the sunlight. So, I made a hood for it out of a sheet of craft foam I got at Michael's for under a dollar. I put velcro strips on the foam and the back of the gps mount to hold it on.

Here's my home made variator tool. The OEM tool for my Scarabeo was $150, so I just made one out of hardwood and bolts. It works just fine.

The back end of that chock has 3 different locations to bolt it on, so there is some adjustment room there. And, if your forks don't fit with the wheel all the way forward, you could make a bumper to put on the front rail to hold the wheel back a little further where the rail is lower. Here's a photo of one of those modifications I found on the internet:

The Harbor Freight chock that I use is on sale for $40 right now. If you can scrounge up one of those 20% off coupons, you could get it for $32. I got mine when it was on sale for $25 during one of their parking lot sales. This one works well on my 16" wheels.

Sorry you're going through this rough patch, Terrilee.
May your journey through the darkness be swift and uneventful, and your return be met with happiness and joy.

It's supposed to snow overnight here in the Atlanta suburbs. Then, it turns to sleet, and all melts off by the afternoon.

Depends on the ride. I'll pack differently if going on a group ride through the country than on the way to work. My work commute is about 35 miles each way. I've got saddle bags, so I usually carry a bunch of stuff. My normal inventory is: Rain suit - 2 piece Gloves - several different pair for freezing, cold, warm, plus glove liners. Scooter cover Spare helmet - only a 1/2 helmet will fit under the seat on my scoot. microfiber rag for cleaning the huge Givi windscreen bungee net Doo Rags prescription sunglasses prescription goggles tool kit insurance cards gremlin bells
On a group ride, I'll pack different weight jackets if it's cool. I've got a cup holder hanging on the bag clip, so sometimes I pack water or an insulated coffee tumbler.

Ha Ha! That was funny!
I remember way back before the internet. We actually had to talk to each other in person.
