WOW Someone who DOESN'T want welfare, food stamps, section 8, free fone, gas coupons, bus pass, etc etc. What a concept. Wish it was contagious.

Again, most all MSF courses provide bikes. (Yes, normally 250 Rebels) You drive your car there. You sit in class and pass the written test You listen and perform the tactics they teach you on the riding course. You drop the bike, you're automatically failed. You pass the riding course You get your diploma? (certificate of completion) and a patch. You go to DMV and get the endorsement to your drivers Lic.
Then, you ride responsibly and safely, and watch out for the other guy.

Ya don't need a title to sell it for parts. You're not gonna register it anyway. Buy it, strip it, make some xtra bucks, fix up your scoot Enjoy life Dave

Started with a Bridgestone 50 step thru in 1964. Then upon HS graduation (68) got drafted, married, raised a family, and divorced in 2000. Bought a Honda Shadow Sabre 1100 in 2002, a GL1200 in 2004, then a Magna 750. Had my accident in 2012 and now on a 300cc Zodiac
Life is good Enjoy it

I agree with getting a 250 (or larger) Just much less strain on the scoot for a daily 50 mile drive WOT will eventually take it's toll on any scoot

Nice idea, but me thinks it's a little too aggressive. I've done plenty of cross countries, but on a friggin Goldwing, and even still, it was a challenge after day 2. Longest trip without stopping o'nite, was 950 miles, Minneapolis to Denver. I did a Run for the Wall, LA to DC, I just did the Denver, to LA, then LA back to Denver, camping, 400 - 500 miles a day, and I was beat. Think of stopping for a day or so along the way to recover.
Keep us informed

I totally understand the meaning of close friends, and the motorcycle/scooter family. My motorcycle group back in Denver will do anything for anyone. One of our motorcycle friends was killed and his wife seriously injured. One of the folks sold their bike to help the family cover expenses. Then the rest of the group, pooled their funds and bought her a new bike.
I have a rental house in Denver. The tenant moved out and trashed the house. I made a call for help cleaning the house up. 6 people showed up, on a Sunday, and cleaned the entire house in 3 hours.
They have an open invitation for anyone passing thru Denver, to spend the night at their house.
The scooter/bike community is a close knit group for sure
Yea, when you get stable, treat your friends.
Good luck and God speed
Dave

Sorry to hear it got delayed. I remember the area well. I was stationed at Nellis (75-78) and did the Lake Meade thing, Valley thing, Dam thing, Red Rock, Mt Charleston, and had a great assignment there. My ex now lives there, so, may never get to see Vegas again
Good luck on Plan B

I wear a Full Face Modular all the time. On the Goldwing, the Shadow and now my Trike. Colour matched so I still look kool Wearing a helmet saved my live, but not my leg. better of the alternatives I guess.
Please, everyone, wear your helmet. Even on a scooter, it only takes one GMC truck to try to kill ya.

It was around noon time, and I had just gone home for lunch. Our house was just across the street from the school. I was a freshman in Hi School. My Mom was frantic, and said to be quiet and watch the (B&W Philco)TV .
Yea, I remember it well, as with the moon landing, In technical school at Sheppard AFB Tx.
But, what did I do yesterday? CRS!!!!!
