I saw where the 150CC trike had a towing capacity of 150#'s. Yea, I know that these 300cc bikes weren't designed for towing, but, could they withstand towing a small Harbor Freight trailer that weights 140#'s?
I'm thinking short trips to the local Piggly Wiggley or Walmart can't hurt it too bad.
And, how difficult would it be to fabricate a hitch/mounting points etc.
Just thinking
Thanx Dave

Question: I had seen a post where RapidJim has included a link to the engine manual they use for their 300cc Trikes. I believe it is for a Yamaha YP250 But, for the life of me, I can't find it. I thought I had downloaded the pdf file, but it appearently didn't work. Anyone have a ink to that manual?
2nd Question: If the engines on the 300cc trikes are the clone of the Yamaha YP250, what is that in Chinese speak (Linhai VOG). I'm wanting to find out what I can now, before the bikes shows up at my front door. (valve adj, carb, etc) for any performance improvements, if needed.
Thanx again
Dave

Davec, Not to worry you steer them just as you would a car, no problems cornering. Of course just like a car you slow down to make your left or right hand turns onto another street. Just common sense you would not take a turn onto a street in a car fast usually you slow down to around 20mph or less to make a turn. I think you will enjoy it just sitting there like watching TV no leaning and or balancing when you come to stops. But be prepared to get stopped and or get asked questions at stop lights(HAHA). Alleyoop I was gonna say something like I was trained to slow down BEFORE the corner and ACCELERATE around the corner, but didn't. Yea, I've never seen any of these trikes around here, so I'm ready for the looks/stares' Come on spring

Hi, and welcome! Nice bike! Definitely stop by and post some pics once it arrives! One of the issues with trikes is that they are not too stable when cornering and braking at the same time. But their mechanics seem to be better than the reverse trikes, so less problems with them. Hope things work out for you! I'm sure it's going to be a different experience, riding a trike, but not too distant from a motorcycle! Hope you have fun with it! Pro I definately have no idea what riding a trike entails. Thanx for the advice Dave

Welcome Davec, Good to have you on the forum, that Zodiac they put on the side coverings and makes it looks slick, let us know how you like it. I have had my Ice Bear trike since 2009 and love it like you keeps me riding. Alleyoop Alleyoop Thanx Yea, the body kit makes it look slick. And it'll give me a place to put my crutches. Gald to see some longevity with your trike. I hope to have mine last till I can get a Goldwing tike. Which could be a while (LOL) I look forward to getting it, then waiting for the snow to melt. Pictures up when I do thanx Dave

So, I've been toying with the idea of adding to my two wheel transportation line, but still haven't decided whether to get a motorcycle( cruiser) or a large scooter. Either way I go requires a motorcycle endorsement, registration, property taxes, and insurance. What are y'alls thoughts? Oh, what the heck. Gotta have at least one of each. Attachments:

Welcome! Nice looking trike. Is that based on the Suzuki Burgman? No, it's the new IceBear Zodiac. Based on their Magnum and Compeller Hopefully it rides, handles as nice as it looks Thanx Dave

Here's my story I've been riding for some time Last May, I was riding my Honda Magna Bobber/chopper/Rat bike and got hit by a GMC truck. I eventually lost my L leg above the knee. I won't be riding my Goldwing or my Honda Shadow Sabre any time soon (selling the Wing and gonna trike the Sabre) So, decided to get this Zodiac (not mine, but supposedly a good resemblence) for now. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Dave Attachments:

I had a long talk with Jim yesterday, and it seems we have a lot in common. Both retired military Been to some of the same places. Served pretty much during the same period Retired pretty much at the same time
And, I just ordered one of the Burgandy Zodiacs.
Reason: I had a bad motorcycle accident 10 months ago, and lost my L leg-above the knee. I can't do two, but I can do three (I'm talking wheels-gentlemen) Hope to get it in a week or so, and then I'll take some pics and give my first impression. It appears that this Zodiac is the best of the Magnum/Compeller/Etc combined I certainly hope so.
I've been looking at these things for a year or better, and since I ain't gonna be riding my Goldwing any time soon (I'm gonna sell it to cover the cost of the Zodiac) and I'm not gonna be able to do a full trike conversion on my Honda Shadow Sabre, I decided to get a trike. Little did I know my inability to make a decision (a civilian problem-not a military problem) was a good thing, and the Zodiac is the result.
I've already got plenty of mods in my head. (cup holder, radio, lights (LED's-red ones under the body, to look purdy at nite) pin striping, a crutch holder, Iphone holder, and who knows what else)
Anyway, Thanx Jim, and I'll be keeping in touch.
Dave
