Bet you're loving it. I was also looking to buy a PCX but ended up with a Yamaha S max as I could buy either for the same price, but wanted the flat floor for carrying stuff. We both made good choices

Sold the Buddy. Not too sad as the woman who bought it sent me an email that she's in love with it. It's her first scooter so we got another member in the 2 wheel motor club

I have a Buddy 170i which is ideal for city riding. Saw a non current Yamaha S max and had to buy it. Still breaking in the Yamaha so riding it more. Rode them both today and the S max is decent in the city and once broken in will be better on higher speed roads. The Yamaha has better brakes and more power. The Buddy has a NCY exhaust and Dr Pulley sliders. Put the Buddy on Craigslist and CycleTrader. If it doesn't sell it'll be OK. Too bad you can't ride two at a time ! I'm one lucky fool

Bet you're sorry you took 10 years off. I had to stop riding a year after spine surgery, and my wife was glad I started again. I was impossible to live with when I couldn't ride. Got a Buddy 170i and a Yamaha S max and I'm in heaven

One things for sure, I won't spend the first 600 miles at less than 5800 rpm, as the manual suggests. That's about 37 mph. Also I'm replacing the stock rollers with 20x12 10.5g Dr Pulley sliders. They sure woke up my Buddy 170i. Figure I'll do the first 100 miles in the city to vary the rpm, never use wide open throttle, never drone along at the same speed, and go for a lot of short rides for heating and cooling cycles. The next 200 miles I may use 3/4 throttle. Change the engine oil at 300 miles. And then consider it broken in. Will use Amsoil 10w40 full synthetic in the motor and 10w30 in the transmission as the 10w30 Amsoil is also rated GL1 for gear lube use. May do a Malossi full exhaust and maybe their variator and clutch spring. Got about 20 miles on it now as the sun finally came out. Yep, I need to mess with every bike I buy,

Found a leftover 2016 for $3800 on the road. No used ones to be found and didn't want an overpriced used PCX 150. I'm going to use Amsoil full synthetic metric 10w 40. Most Mobil 1 oils call themselves synthetic based on advertising loop holes. Anyhow while the S Max is redlined at 9500 rpm, mine will rarely be run flat out. Won't be much different than running my Genuine Buddy 170i at 6000 to 7000 rpm. After the first 1000 miles, I figure to do it every 3600. Superior lubricants and lower rpm should allow it. We shall see. In my experience, most of the time I've checked valve clearances on ohc engines they have been very close to spec. Use synthetic oil, don't run at redline for long periods, and use Shell V power gas to reduce deposits on the valve edges and the cylinder head valve seats.Since I get over 75 mpg I buy the best fuel.

Never give up, but sometimes it's a long process. All you need is one buyer out of 50 emailers

At 300 miles had a serious stalling problem in spite of using fuel stabilizer, Amsoil synthetic oil, and octane Shell gas.. It would start and run perfectly for the first three minutes, then stall out and continue to the second you twisted the throttle over and over. My local dealer adjusted the idle higher but still had the same problem. The importer Bintelli shipped him a complete new carburetor and now it runs perfectly. My Bullseye is a keeper! Great to buy something that the dealer and importer stand behind.

Had a problem with my Adly Bullseye 49. Stalling even with octane and Ansoil full synthetic oil. After the local dealer making adjustments, the problem persisted. The importer Bintelli, shipped a new carburetor and it was installed at no charge. Great people at Bintelli who did the right thing. Hoping to talk my wife into one.

I bought a 2016 Adly Bullseye. They are manufactured by Herchee in Taiwan and distributed in the US by Bintelli. The 49cc 2 stroke engine is a lot more torquey than a 4 stroke of the same size. In my opinion the components are superior to the Genuine Buddy 50. Rode both and bought the Adly. The Adly sells for less with better components. Comparable warranty and roadside assistance. Up to 30 mph it is as quick as a 150 Chinese scooter. Servicing is simple, no valves or cam chain adjustments. Just keep the oil tank filled with synthetic 2 cycle oil like Amsoil and change the rear end oil every 1500 miles. No regrets. You get what you pay for. Very satisfied.

Tried to replace the shock with a gas charged reservoir type but there was a clearance problem because the spring diameter was quite a bit larger. Luckily the eBay vendor refunded me. Next I installed 5g Koso slider rollers. It accelerated worse. Apparently the stock 6.5 rollers are the way to go. Plan to install a $98 jog/minarelli expansion chamber I got from eBay next week and up the main jet from the stock 82.5 to . With 500 miles on the scooter it will do 45 and accelerates well to 30 mph, about as quickly as my last 150cc Wolf. Looking for more power on hills and 50 mph top speed. I don't want to do a BBK and just want a little more power for a reasonable expense. The bullseye is almost perfect in town except for hills. It is so much better than a 50cc four stroke. Worse comes to worse, I'll keep it stock, buy a Yamaha SMAX left over model and sell my R3. After 45 motorcycles in 65 years it seems scooters are more useful and fun in Roanoke

You can use Amsoil full synthetic Interceptor oil. It is suitable for oil injection or 50 to 1 pre mix. They have local distributors you can find on line. Mine charges $7.75 a quart. It API TC approved and JASO FC approved. Reasonable price and haven't fouled a plug ever.. My Adly Bullseye starts easily and runs good with it.

If you up the variator slider weights , don't know what it has now, but with 6.5 g Koso slider weights my Adly Bullseye indicates 45 mph on a flat road.

I'm close to buying a used one. Just wondering about the maintenance cost. Valve adjustment every 2000 miles? That's as often as an inexpensive 150 Chinese scooter. My Yamaha R3 it's every 26,000. The 2000 mile interval is ridiculous, as is the lack of a proper oil filter, just a screen. Bought a left over Kymco People gt300i for less.

The Adly GTA is a better choice if a top case is required. Same engine, great warranty, roadside assistance and still a screamer. Me, I wanted a bare bones look so the Bullseye was for me
