I have a Buddy 170i which is ideal for city riding. Saw a non current Yamaha S max and had to buy it. Still breaking in the Yamaha so riding it more. Rode them both today and the S max is decent in the city and once broken in will be better on higher speed roads. The Yamaha has better brakes and more power. The Buddy has a NCY exhaust and Dr Pulley sliders. Put the Buddy on Craigslist and CycleTrader. If it doesn't sell it'll be OK. Too bad you can't ride two at a time ! I'm one lucky fool

The Buddy 170i is tough to beat in the urban jungle. On the freeway, that agility becomes uncomfortable. The Smax is a perfect companion for the Buddy.

Do you have a need to sell the Buddy? If not, then I agree with the others--keep both. Use the Buddy for in-town errands, and the SMax for longer drives. Best of both worlds.

Sold the Buddy. Not too sad as the woman who bought it sent me an email that she's in love with it. It's her first scooter so we got another member in the 2 wheel motor club

"She's in love with it". I like those happy endings. I hope we see a lot or ride reports from both of you.

She didn't even consider other scooters, it was a Buddy or nothing. I'm sure she's on the Modern Buddy forum.

Picking up a Genuine Rough House 50. I really like 2 strokes for getting around in the city. No oil changes, no valves to adjust and de restricted they are quick little buggers

I owned an Adly Bullseye 50. The Rough house is noticeably quicker. There are a lot more accessories and performance parts available for the RH50. Even though the engines are very similar. I sold the Adly to a guy last year and he's happy.
