over the winter i picked up a eton beamer R2 the green wires on the cdi have been clipped already, was trying to get a little bit more top end out of it currently it tops out around 38 mph, 35 mph before all changes, was trying to get around 42-43 so far i have changed the weights and got rid of flat spot in acceleration, i put on a new exhaust leo vince zx, and just recently bought new hoca variator hoping that would help, the acceleration is good, idles good just have trouble braking the 40 mph mark, down hill it will and sometimes on long flat it can hit 40, not looking to put a big bore kit in, i have my other scooter that has one and this one i wanted to leave at 49cc for back up, just looking to get a little more top end out this one i feel it should be able to do more than 40 my keeway when it was stock ran around 43-44, looking for any suggestions maybe something i am over looking thanks

When you changed the pipe did you up-jet the carb? You will also need to increase air flow. That might be all you need to do.

Could be that. You know the trick about marking the tire and turning one revolution and counting how many times the clutch turns to get the ratio.

-If you haven't removed the belt restriction ring in your CVT, do that first. -In the motorized bicycle world (chain driven), gearing change is the key to more top speed. We can pretty easily swap rear wheel sprockets for top speed. However, a motorized bicycle rider can make up for the loss in low end acceleration by pedaling harder. -Another difference with the scooter, is that your gearing is already pretty much optimized for your engine at the factory. Gearing changes on a cvt are pretty difficult, even if you can find a source for the gears. -I guess the most cost effective mods for top speed on a scooter is gaining more engine rpm. (That is how the Yamaha SMAX does it). That will likely require a cam change, in addition to air filter, jetting and exhaust mods. -A taller rear tire can help, if you have the clearance for it.

If you up the variator slider weights , don't know what it has now, but with 6.5 g Koso slider weights my Adly Bullseye indicates 45 mph on a flat road.
