Aliexpress has a huge selection of exhausts. I got a sweet free flow exhaust with a bigger header pipe for only like 70 bucks.

My ssr x6's tail light went out. Well one of them, it has two just like a zuma. Where to even start? I have a multimeter and stuff, any electrical whizzes have any advice? Im pretty useless when it comes to electrical matters. The light is a ring of what looks like leds, for some reason only one side is working, the left side not one of the leds turns on.

Ya thats what I was thinking, seems like the big enough ones are the rubber strap wrenches and wont hold up tho. Maybe ill try to find a metal one big enough if my tool doesnt work out. Ive kind of put the project off for a bit tho cuz im so busy with school grrr, and now I gota figure out how to fix a tail light that went out. Thanks for all the advice ppl, ill let ya know what works when I get to it

I tried using a heat gun, no dice. I'm just gonna make a tool out of aluminum bar and use a breaker bar.

No such thing as harbor freight where I live....definitely not gona buy more stuff anyways. When my air impact gun wont get it off its obviously on there pretty good. Either way I dont have the money and theres always the chance the electric one wont even get it off, ive read plenty of threads where ppl say it was on there so bad their electric one would just hammer away. I just hope the drive face can take some stress because im just gona make one of those two prong tool things and use a good old fashion breaker bar. Im just worried about the drive face maybe being fragile

Ugghhhh I tried to get it off with a 90psi air impact wrench and the damn thing wouldnt budge! What to do now? Should I try and make one of those tools with metal bar and bolts to fit in the two holes onthe drive face? Its buggin the outta me. If the spec is like 60 psi on that nut why the did tarzan torque it to over 100psi at the factory!

I don't really have the experience or confidence to take the entire motor apart i better just hope my electrical and starter system doesn't get any gremlins soon. I depend on my scooter which is why I'm so mad about the whole thing. After all the stuff I've done to make my scoot just the way I want and more reliable...I go and break my backup starting system in a thoughtless second

Lol I was just gina delete the post...I tried to fit the gear but now it wont align perfectly and all the finagling to try n make it work was making the epoxy weaker. I just gave up. Im super pissed at myself...it was a part that made it that much more reliable for me. My stock battery hasnt failed me though and ive used it every day and have 1300 miles. I wonder how long this battery will last. And hows the reliability of the starter motor itself do those burn out after a while?

I figure I may have a chance because the leverage will push on the cover then hopefully push on the bad hole upwards and to the side where it isnt cracked...it cracked on the left side, and bottom only. The inner sleeve cracked a bit too so I filled the cracks and glued the sleeve in as well since the kick start lever part slides freely in the sleeve. Tonight will be the moment of truth....I may just have to accept my kickstart is kaput and save up for one of those sweet open covers

I just ordered a 115mm DMC racing variator from gy6racingteam. I took a bit of risk as I've seen no reviews, consumers in Europe seem to use it more. It was only 30 bucks with a set of rollers and its manufactured in Taiwan I found out through some research and Google translate. Ive never tuned a variator so it'll be a bit before its dialed but I'll give you all a simple review to let you guys know if it was worth it. Its like the same price as a Chinese Koso clone thing but I'm hoping the quality will be better as its Taiwanese made and doesn't have that cheap Teflon coating that just wears away. Once I get it set up with new belt I ordered and get it dialed we'll see! I'm excited to try it out, has anyone else tried one? Here she is m.ebay.com/itm/181832560896

Well most of the reason ppl like the moreexpensive model is the taiwanese parts and good warranty...but modifying will void the warranty, and if youre replacing stuff like the cylinder, variator, cdi etc.. with premium parts there wouldnt be too much of a point in getting a pricier one thats gona be torn apart anyways. A cheaper bike will leave you more cash for mods. Id only pay more for a "higher end" one if I was gona keep it mostly stock. Out of the china bikes there isnt too much difference really...taiwanese ones are nice but pricey
