No dice? the spacer behind the bolt in the first pic is what I'm looking for. Haven't been able to find it, don't know what search terms to use, is it perhaps just a generic spacer I could find at a hardware store?

So recently I had a scary experience on my 150cc gy6, luckily at low speeds. the bolt that goes through the engine mount bushings and attaches the motor to the frame backed out and it fell out. I found the bolt but lost the little spacer. Anyone know where I could find one?

... bought a 2009 Suzuki 650. This bike is great.... And I see you have already joined the Savage Forum I bought a 2000 Savage in 2004, killed it in 2012 and got the Vespa. Still miss the out of the hole acceleration of the Big Single. I cannot understand getting a "sport" bike. The Ninja 300 ABS weighs more than the S40. The torque of the singles trumps the horsepower of the multis -- when the traffic signal goes green the Single is gone and the 600 and 1000cc four cylinder sport bikes have to break the speed limit to catch up. Congratulations, excellent choice. Hang around on this forum to help others that are thinking about getting a motorcycle. Yeah, most of my friends with in line 4s say they really suck in the city, but then again they don't buy a rocket to go slow lol, they really scream on the open road. This is leading me to wana get an sv650, with the L twin they're supposed to have a really nice linear power band with plenty of torque, and adequate hp. Great in town, on the road, or even the track

Nice, I love japanese standards. In a couple months once I save the money I'm looking into buying a used sv650 as my first big motorcycle

Fixed my starter clutch strangely mine came stock with a 20 sprag. I got the same kind to replace it, but when I did that one didn't work either, I think I got a defective replacement. But it turns out only the big gear was messed up somehow (the teeth were fine though idk what it was) so I put the new big gear on the stock clutch and it worked so I'm happy with it. Starts first push now.

Well I think the problem is solved (crossing my fingers) I put the sliders back in, but this time used the oem back plate on the aftermarket variator. Having no issues so far.

You probably have a defective variator if it always flips in the same slot. I never had a problem with the Hoca variator I put in my Lance and it really was not that much more costly compared to the DMC. Sometimes you do have to spend a few extra dollars in the drive line to get a good value. Cheapest is usually not the best value and what you put in when you need the bike running so you can sell it. Yeah that's what I'm starting to think. I do have a couple ideas I'm gonna try out though before I give up on it. For one, someone suggested my 842 belt may be riding too high, putting in my 835 I had in it originally may help. Also, the part of the variator that the v slides slide on, 2 of em have some sharp burrs on the far edge which could be causing it to open unevenly. I think I'll file/sand em flush. Also if all else fails I may try the stock backplate. Anyways, I cant get to it for a couple weeks zcuz I'm busy with finals, but I'll see once get to it.

On my scooter since the tank is above the engine I just went to a manual petcock and got rid of the lame vacuum one

Isn't there already lambrettas on the market that are made in taiwan? From what I hear they're nothing too special, just your run of the mill taiwan scooter with lambretta styling and badges, but with a premium price tag

I duno why mine is messing up, one slot always flips, the same one. Maybe it's just a defective variator idk, but im using the new backplate that came with the variator. Im just using rollers for now, but I might try and use the stock backplate and see if that helps. Or try and use a shim or something. It's rly a pain though, cuz the sliders really make it run great, but they end up flipping after like a day of riding. It could just be the sliders, I got cheap dmc sliders cuz they're the same brand as my variator but perhaps Dr pulleys would fix the issue

I'd get that shroud quick, because it won't cool well without it on there. Might overheat the engine without it, especially since it's starting to get warmer out

Lol, I doubt my 150 will get anywhere close to that. I have about 4000 and it runs strong, but I ridea the thing pretty hard at full throttle a lot. That's some impressive mileage.
