Before you do all that do a compression test see what you got. question was there a problem before valves were adjusted?

open your drain then try removing cap maybe this will help maybe not worth a try.

pull hose next to carb do you get any fuel doesn't it have a fuel shut off? I wouldn't touch anything till you get fuel. Try releasing fuel cap while pulling off fuel line.

I have something like you problem my ice Bears have long locking tabs. My have a little wiggle worm to move back and come disconnected even while lock is in place. I started using zip ties which has solved my problem. Why not leave covers off and leave on switch and wiggle and push on connections see if you get them working.

what your saying is gravity bleed that will work to a point but never run out of brake fluid. You will still need to bleed it should work as long as all air is removed.

I looked at chart if you use it you can't be wrong go for it if you need to use torque wrench but I too have not used it on said piece but then I have been wrenching 50 years.
