Recently got a 2007 Aprilia Sportcity 250 with low miles. Love it. Here's a picture from the previous owner's ad on Craigslist... It's been a garage queen for a few days while I get a few things done to it. The sun's supposed to shine tomorrow so I'll take it out again and try to get used to no-foot-brake-no-clutch-no-gears riding. It's hard to teach this old coot new tricks... especially when it's so easy! I've been riding 50+ years, but this seems odd to my old brain.

I've been riding 50+ years, but this seems odd to my old brain. At least the 15 inch wheel steering geometry will feel more motorcycle-like . . as compared to 10 inch scooter wheels.
cdwise completed the 2014 and 2016 Scooter Cannonball cross-country on a SportCity 250.

Welcome to the forum. Pity that Aprilia doesn't sell a 250 or even a 150cc scooter in the States any more.

Welcome oldcoot, nice scooter ya have there. You will find there are a few of us geezers on this site, who started with motorcycles decades ago. (My first bike purchase was in the fall of '65')
The 'twist an go' bike does seem weird at first, but will grow on you quickly. I still have 3 other units with a brake pedal under foot, and a manually operated clutch.......but I enjoy riding the little 150cc scoot just as much as the larger machines. It is my ride of choice for morning coffee runs, which normally run about 30 miles.
Congrats on joining the world of scooters, ride safely, and keep us posted as to your scooting adventures.

I test-rode a used SC 250 and it felt fantastic. It was all kinds of fast and very smooth. We were looking for a bike that my wife would be comfortable with at the time, and it was actually "too much" scooter, really.
I hope you have many years of enjoyment with it. They make a great bike.

I've put a few miles on the SC250 and I'm getting pretty used to it. Met an old friend for lunch and he showed me around some back roads today... I think I'm going to really like this little scoot. Here's a picture just before heading out from my bud's place...I'm in the helmet standing behind his Big Rukus and he's standing behind my SC250... We had lunch in downtown Greer, SC, at one of my favorite restaurants...and as usual had a great meal at the Blue Ridge Brewing Company...
