many times is chain is dry or rusty the links will bind and make noises you say make sure it is very flexible and well lubed and cleaned before that. I have three 300cc Zodiacs I keep the chain about 3/8 movement at bottom of chain. # 1 has 10,000 miles wife's mines has 8,000 miles the parade trike I use for VFW has 2,500 miles.

maybe go to big box store and in electric dept they sell liquid electric tape. comes in a can with a brush you can spread it on and seal the rubber all over to stop the vacuum or leak till you can find the part. the china rubber doesn't like gasohol. china doesn't sell that junk. The stuff in can tuuns to rubber I have used this stuff may times and got great results about 5.00 a can.

I don't think so I love the smoky Mnts flat lands boring. My 300cc trikes handle well traffic is great not there been there crazy and to many people there and to many stop signs,red lights bumper to bumper traffic. Here laid back and easy going when some one does go by you the other way the wave to you and not with the middle finger LOL.

take out starter and wire it back and watch what it is doing when you turn key it should answer a lot of questions
