Well, I finally got it all ready for year-round riding... I bought some new German Heidenau K66 4-season tires from Revzilla and got them installed yesterday by MX/drag racer Jordan Autrey (thanks Jordan!) at Jordan Autrey Motorsports, and I installed a GIVI windshield (think it's big enough?) and Euro-style front turn signals with the help of Ed Cook at AF1Racing in Austin, TX. I also installed a plug for my battery tender and one for my First Gear electric jacket. The tires are nice and soft, and they'll get me through the snow (not much chance I'll ride it in the snow, really). The windscreen blocks EVERYTHING. I tested the electric plugs, and they seemed to work, but it was over degrees in the garage, so I didn't wear the jacket very long. Now I just need to ride this little garage queen, right?

You will love that wind screen even more when the weather cools down. I take mine off during the summer and reinstall it around October.

Nice looking scooter! Have a bone from one old coot to another... I've heard good things about those tires. And, I'll double-down on the windshield! It's very much like the one I have on my Kymco. Indeed, it truly DOES block everything! Better than any I had on my old Harley baggers... I can ride without gloves down to below fifty degrees, and remain comfortable with a jacket to near-freezing! Enjoy that nice ride, and ride safe! Leo in Texas

Very nice ride! Seems weird to say it now, especially here in Vegas, but stay warm!

You will love the windshield in colder weather. I've ridden as low as 25°F as long as things are dry. The windshield (off right now) cuts a lot of the wind chill.
For this winter I found some Columbia heated gloves on the Goodwill Auction site. I'm anxious to give them a try.
Here's to a looooong and comfortable autumn before we have to start thinking of snow.

I just consider it a little extra fiber in my diet. 'Cept for hornets ... those buggers are like angry little bullets.

I just consider it a little extra fiber in my diet. 'Cept for hornets ... those buggers are like angry little bullets. My first motorized 2-wheeler was a Sears Moped over 50 years ago... cruising down the road at maybe 30 mph a wasp hit me in the neck and fell down into my t-shirt and then stung me in my chest and stomach at least a half dozen times before I could dismount and get him out. I'm loving this new windshield every time I see a bug hit it!

A honey bee went down my shirt and stung me a few weeks ago on a scooter ride. Wouldn't have happened if my wind screen was installed.

What is this "winter" of which you speak? Is that the time of year where I might actually don a jacket?

If you don't mind me butting in..... I have 6 scooter blankets of varying thicknesses that I use on my "little" scooter. A couple even reflect heat in the summer. Same pattern and style as the pictures for my winter blankies.......Don't judge me SaveSave

Ha! I get snickered at and also get my picture taken a lot. Don't care though, I stay warm and dry
