(Howdy, folks! New member here - nice site, btw! - I had an account at the old ScootDawg site once, but it's been a while. Need a little help - and appreciate any ideas...)
I've got a TGB Sunset 49cc that I bought 8-9 years ago. I put ~20k miles on it in about 7 years, but haven't used it much at all in the last year and a half. I want to get it back on the road - and I could probably do some of the basic prep myself (if only to ride it to a more competent mechanic), but I drained the fuel tank before putting the bike away... and now I can't get the fuel cap off.
This is a fuel cap with the lock assembly built in. The key enters and turns okay, and the entire cap moves just slightly when the key is turned - but I can't tell that anything's happening inside the lock. So the cap won't come off.
Any tips or tricks on how to remove this fuel cap? Any help appreciated!

Twist and pull, very hard. Worse case scenario the lock may become slightly damaged if you end up pulling it out without unlocking it, but will likely still work as it should. I switched to non locking caps because they can be a pain, no one wants to mess with your gas, and your tank is too small to siphon for a car.

Well, that did it. Thanks, lain! But wow, it's a mess in there - did not expect that. Looks like I've got a new project on my hands...
