Braking on a bike should be about 70% front 30% or less rear. That's interesting. I would have thought the opposite, if not equal pressure. On motorcycles, I have been applying the front & rear brakes equally.

Sometimes, when there are no other vehicles around, I like to try riding without using the brakes. Progress is a bit slower overall but it's gotta help the mpg's.
I'm curious to see the difference in brake pad lifespan between those who enjoy a high performance ride & those who strive to milk the most miles out of each cup of fuel.
fun fact: 80mpg = 5mpc = 1.6 oz per mile

A couple of years ago, google demoted my link. I can no longer afford to properly maintain The Night Train Selling her next week.

I wonder how well Plasti-Dip would work? Should be durable enough for sidewalls, someone here even used it to make treads: emiliereas.com/2013/01/03/diy-minimalist-running-socks/I dip guitar picks in it. You can thin it with Naptha. It comes in spray or liquid and it comes in white.

Well Eisenhower is out. He was never in combat. Patton was a real badass but McArthur would ignore orders from the President. He was fired for being too macho.

OK Motor home won't start. Walt curses. Jesse; "What's wrong? It's turning!" Walt; "There's not enough amperage to turn the engine fast enough to allow it to fire." Jesse; "Well how about my robot idea?" Walt: "No Jesse, I can't build a robot that will rescue us." Jesse; "Well make the engine turn faster then, so it will start." Walt; "The compression won't allow the crankshaft to turn any faster, using this battery." Jesse; "Well lower the compression then!" Walt: "Yes, Jesse, I'll design a new engine with low compression & we'll leave the plans next to our bodies, so this never happens to anyone again. I CAN'T lower the compress.......
Walt leaps to his feet and shoves aside the Preparation H & the olive oil setting in the toolbox and grasps their single tool, the pair of pliers. Jesse follows him as he runs outside, yammering excited questions a mile a minute. Walt traces two of the distributor wires and removes them from sequentially firing cylinders.
Walt grips the tips of the spark plugs with all his strength and twists and loosens them. He removes the plugs and runs back to the cockpit. He pauses and then pumps the fuel and turns the key. The engine spins faster as it gets to the two empty cylinders and the momentum gets the next cylinder in line to fire. The beast coughs and sputters and manages to keep running but sounds even worse as it begins to run on just 4 cylinders.
They let it run until the original battery is charged enough to start the engine with the spark plugs replaced. Jesse says; "Yes BlTCH!"

Ha.
There is no trick of language solution to this riddle. When they hear the solution, I think many people will go; "Hmmm, could that work?" ... and wonder if it is something that might save their hide one day.
Let's change the metaphor. Imagine you are Jesse Pinkman. You just inspired Mr. White to build a battery but this is an alternate ending to the episode. The battery is not strong enough to start that big vehicle. What would Mr. White do next?

15W-40 diesel oil every 1000 miles. Synthetic is, in fact, a waste of money. You probably know this, but the CF Moto Fashion 250 is a bolt-for-bolt clone of a Honda CN250 Helix. The synthetic Rotella is only about $2 per quart more than the fossil Rotella when you buy a gallon. I only bought 1 quart, just to see how my scooter reacts. I know that the main advantage of synthetic is lost without an oil filter. I may switch back, I don't know. I also poured some STP oil treatment on the funnel and washed it in with the Rotella. I'm very glad that I thought to buy a $1 mini-long funnel. Made it easy. I was reading an old forum where a young lady was pointing out a few parts of these clones that match up with the Reflex and not the Helix. I don't know which parts they are? Thanks for the help.

Jake has a vintage car. It's got a simple flathead 6 cylinder engine, an automatic transmission & whitewall tires. He takes a girl for a ride in the country. They watch the sun set and they take a walk down to the river. They soon head back to his car because her Father will kill him if she's not home by 10. His heart is filled with dread as he sees that he has left the lights on. He runs and shuts them off and after a minute, he turns the key. rrrrrruuhhh, rrrrruuuuhhhh, rrrrrrrr............
The half-dead battery can't turn the engine fast enough for it to start. He looks in the trunk. There is an unopened 1 gallon can of Genco Olive Oil. There is a large tube of Preparation H. There is a pair of pliers & a jack.
20 minutes later, Jake is driving the girl home. How did he get the car started?

I checked Sunoco today and they have a dedicated hose on the corn-free blend. It is also rated , not 89, as I thought. I found some info on my CF Moto 250T that says it calls for octane fuel. The seller told me he only uses regular. These bikes are also known for running lean with very small carburetor jets, so some fuel and bigger jets should improve performance but I'm a bit torn because I'm also concerned about getting the best mileage.

Thanks. I remember the bentrider forums from when I bought a recumbent about 10 years ago. I don't think there was much about velomobiles there at the time. This is the first that I've heard that term.

I just located a site that is offering a pdf version of the CF Moto Fashion manual for $9. www.scribd.com/doc/226308578/cfmoto-cf250t-f-fashion-owner-manualI also found a site that has their own version of a Helix manual that appears to be superior to the Honda manual, at least according to their testimonials. It claims to walk you through procedures with lots of large color photos. You have to pay them $20 to view the manual online, for 1 year. www.cyclepedia.com/online-manuals/cyclepedia-honda-online-service-manuals/honda-cn250-helix-online-service-manual/Anyone have any experience with either of these sites, scribd or cyclepedia? update: Got the oil changed. Kinda tricky teasing that screen out of there. The oil was very dark brown. It was supposedly changed recently. I don't really know what to look for in used oil. There didn't appear to be any particles in it. I figured out that the mystery button is the flashers, by trying it with the key on this time (duh) I also discovered that the red button must be the kill switch because the cycle died, even though the switch still did not budge. I saw in a video that the orange button is the start button. I only knew about the remote start. My start button doesn't appear to function, so I guess either a button or maybe the whole right side cluster is gonna be first part on my list, as soon as I get a little money from selling my car.
