This gal has 12,000 miles on her, so this is destined to be a looonnng thread.

JerryScript provided me with a list to get started:

Treat it like a brand new scooter in a crate, and do a full PDI. At the least, you should:

-remove all the body panels

-check all bolts/screws/nuts

-check the brake pads and cylinders

-inspect all fuel lines and other hose

-give all wires a gently tug at the connector to be sure they are snug

-change and strain the oil through a coffee filter to check for metal particles

-change the tranny oil at the rear

-open the CVT and replace the belt, inspect the variator and weights, and check the clutch pads for glazing

I bought the fluids & loctite. Gonna tear it down soon.

What is this orange and this red switch?
Is it supposed to be a kill switch & flashers?
Neither switch moves.

This brake release pulls out about an inch but neither it or the button seem to affect anything.
It does NOT lock in place.

I have NO idea what the button above it is.

I assume that this dial is the volume & on/off for the speakers?
The trunk holds the radio that allegedly works but is not hooked up.

I just located a site that is offering a pdf version of the CF Moto Fashion manual for $9.

I also found a site that has their own version of a Helix manual that appears to be superior to the Honda manual, at least according to their testimonials. It claims to walk you through procedures with lots of large color photos.
You have to pay them $20 to view the manual online, for 1 year.

Anyone have any experience with either of these sites, scribd or cyclepedia?

update: Got the oil changed. Kinda tricky teasing that screen out of there.
The oil was very dark brown. It was supposedly changed recently.
I don't really know what to look for in used oil.
There didn't appear to be any particles in it.

I figured out that the mystery button is the flashers, by trying it with the key on this time (duh)
I also discovered that the red button must be the kill switch because the cycle died, even though the switch still did not budge.
I saw in a video that the orange button is the start button. I only knew about the remote start.
My start button doesn't appear to function, so I guess either a button or maybe the whole right side cluster is gonna be first part on my list, as soon as I get a little money from selling my car.

Don't waste your money bud, use the Honda Helix manual, your bike is a clone of it. I'm sure Jack has it on this site. Also Google CN250 tech tips for a great reference site for the Helix and clones. The CF Moto engine version is the CF250 or 172mm engine. It's the same thing with minor variations. Bill Lauderman used to do the tech sites for the bike but he passed the torch to Randi Pozzi. The CH250 is technically the Elite but the engine is very similar.
