...when she shakes my hand and says "thanks for the help". HUH??? After all that tire changing, followed by all that 'romance', she didn't even slip you a hundred? Stuck up, entitled bit ......... Yeah. I don't know who she thinks she is.

I got the Vespa because I did not had to straddle the seat. People do not have to straddle a saddle. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SidesaddleIs my scooter a car, or is it a motorcycle? It depends on how you're sitting. If you want to save on insurance, keep your legs apart.

Texas has banned the Polaris Slingshot trike because it has conventional seats, rather than a saddle, that must be straddled. Do they explain the reasoning behind that decision?

LOL, well back when I originally could not get the nut off I did end up getting an air compressor and wrench from Harbor Freight which worked great, but now I had my wife bring it to me filled with air(since I was stranded kinda) and it was not enough air to get it off :-( I am carrying one of these things: Needs no air or power. Works on variator and on clutch. The little tips can be unscrewed and replaced with various sized bolts. I did that on mine because my variators have different sized holes in them. I carry the original pins and three sizes of bolts. I recommend you test it out on your bike before you need it. You may need to first break your nuts free with an impact if they are super tight like mine were, otherwise you risk damaging the variator fins. (And I mean they were tight. I had to cut the nut off of the clutch after three impact drivers failed to loosen it. Now they come off just fine, even with this manual wrench.)

Product: 1 Pair Universal 4" Round Motorcycle Mirrors Long Stem 8mm M8 Bolt Chrome Vendor: www.ebay.com/usr/lifeassistant2014 on Ebay Price: $13.29 Picture: Delivery/Packaging:
Cardboard box and bubble wrap. Free shipping. Took 12 days to get to Florida from China. Construction:
Chrome plated "metal". Presumably steel. Quality:
Unknown. Looks good. Light weight. What makes it cool:
Long stems put the mirrors outboard a little farther than stock mirrors plus 4" mirror faces are highly adjustable and give a nice view. Both mirrors cost less than one original mirror. What makes it a bad choice:
It's probably cheap and may rust. Style better suited to a classic or vintage style bike. Had to remove windshield while installing because you have to screw the mirrors in, as opposed to the originals which were held on by bolts. Comments:
I needed at least one new mirror. I really liked my original mirrors. They were thick, matched the style of the bike, and had built in lights and signals, but they were not very adjustable, didn't stick out far enough, and did not provide an adequate rear view to this rider. Conclusion:
I had to choose a good rear view over lights and good looks. Would have been nice to find some like the originals but with bigger, better, more adjustable mirrors.

Product:
Moped Scooter GY6 ATV Oil Tank Dipstick with Temperature Gauge DIY Vendor: www.ebay.com/usr/vipershangout on Ebay Price:
$11.99 including shipping Picture: Delivery/Packaging: Free Shipping with tracking. Got here to Florida from Nevada in 3 days. Construction: Aluminum nut/plug with stainless thermometer. Quality:
Not sure yet. Plug is well made. Thermometer is the exact same thing you buy for cooking but with flames on the face. Will it hold up? So far so good after a week. What makes it cool: Lets you see how hot your oil is. Mine seems to be running about 100 degrees C. AKA the boiling temperature of water. Comes in red or blue. What makes it a bad choice:
Needs a wrench to get oil plug on and off. Didn't come with level marks. I sanded a section of the polished shaft to match my original oil dipstick. Only comes in red or blue. I suppose I could paint it black. Comments:
Could be useful but I don't know yet. It's not convenient to look at like a dash mounted gauge but it's something and that might be better than nothing. Conclusion:For 12 bucks, it was worth a try. We'll see how long it lasts.

made a video of my shark stereo I got for 45 bucks That's pretty cool! I like the way country has sort of mingled with rap music lately. Contrary to popular belief, there is some really good rap music out there. My favorite album has zero cuss words in it, nor does it mention sex, and doesn't call people names. Some people think it's all the same, but that's like saying all rock music is the same. It ain't. Now turn the radio up and roll your windows down, and cruise, oh wait you don't have any windows! Hahaha!

Scoot, a lean main jet will give you a little better acceleration. Wile your 115 might have been optimum the only real way to tell is to do a plug chop. I've never done a plug chop and I'm not sure how well I'll be able to read the plug. I was looking at a page about jets and it said you get max hp when running a little rich. I have no idea. I would have thought lean gave more power as well.

I like the appearance of that big green scoot. It's not trying to look like a sport bike. The front is shark-ish like the DN01. Here's a fun looking scooter. I may not look sharkish but you might, quite literally, run into a shark.

Just ran across this article about a new small rotary engine that could be used in scooters within 2-3 years. The X-Mini A few specs: -4 lb core weight -3 chambers which balance out vibrations -only two moving parts -small 6.6"x6.2"x5.4" -currently at 3.5bhp, plans to punch it up to 5bhp More info in this article: Liquid Piston Unveils X Mini EngineCouldn't they make it a little smaller? hehehe That looks like a game changer.

Those whitewalls really are a nice touch Leo. Thanks, Scooter!
Not sure the rear was worth the effort, but old "Minnie Mouse" is so "old-school" she just needed wide-whites!
Say, is that great dog in your avatar YOURS? Just looks SO friendly!
Ride safe,
Leo
No, not mine, but definitely looks like me when I'm riding.

The first time I rode mine I felt the same way. It was so wiggly. I had to learn to reduce my inputs and to sit very still to avoid making it wiggle. Then for a while I was so nervous about the tiny wheels I watched the road right in front of the scooter to avoid any bumps or holes. Now it's a breeze. I have melded with it and it's so smooth that I often goof off by counter steering it and making it move back and forth beneath me just for fun. I still think bigger tires are better and safer though. Mine's also a little bigger and heavier than the turtle deck type. Those scare me.

I am not going to complain about the Christmas music. I don't know why it was playing all the time like it was. The other videos we post don't do that. So play all the Christmas songs you want and I'll listen along, and if it messes up my music then I'll have to pick one or the other, but I won't complain because what matters is that you are trying to bring some joy to us and I appreciate that. Muting is not an option for me though. I use my computer to listen to music and videos while I read. I turned off my TV some months ago because all there was on was mindless nonsense and politics. I don't have time for that. I'd rather come here and talk about important stuff like scooters with you guys. </img>
