$1404 was with shipping ? The way I look at it the shipping was about $650 so they get tax on $750 (wink) . You will not win with the state dmv , law enforcement can kiss your azz now you jumped through hoops to get it legal .

Backfiring

Where can I get rings for a 50mm kit? I need a dependable source. The last 2 sets of rings I got were already too large of gaps and were unusable. The set I just broke was a set for a 52mm kit that I was filing down to size, right when I finally got it down to size (after 4 hours of filing it down with a random metal file I found that was weak at best) I broke it by an accidental slip of my fingers and pushed one side of the ring while holding the other and it snapped into 3 pieces. I didnt even check the ring gaps before I installed my bbk, lol. I just installed them and everything was fine. this could be the source of your noise , what do you think ? John

have you choked off the muffler and listened ?Your muffler is loud so it makes it hard to hear other things . It would not surprise me if it is something loose inside the muffler .

no magic on a stator all they do is make ac , no fielding shunting , the magic is in the regulator.

I would try to isolate the noise down , while running cover the muffler restrict the exhaust (make it quieter ) so you can hear the noise better . Check your muffler and hangers and hardware they tent to make strange sounds when loose . also check your exhaust studs , poke flex work it baby .

sorry to hear the intake will not work , I sent an extra spacer and gasket with the idea of that helping with the angle . If you want I'll take that back . As for your back firing has that subsided since you re worked the cam and crank position ? I'm back to work from vacation so I'm here less .

JerryScript very interesting #7 step , I often get phone calls with performance problems . I ask about #7 the answer is its brand new with 3 digit millage or less . I tell them that should be checked before putting gas in it . YOU GET A HIGH 5 FOR #7 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! John

Bottom line you need a given amount of force to overcome the contra spring , It looks like a great idea , but you still need the correct amount of force to push the clutch opened and the variator closed .
