Does it have the tank in back above the carb or in the floor, if up high probably the vac operated fuel petcock, if below electric fuel pump may be bad. Also just looked at the photos, with that hole in the vac lines if vac fuel petcock then it is not getting enough vacuum to pull fuel from the tank.

May be the solenoid, when you push the button to start does the solenoid click? Does it have 12v from battery to solenoid?

Sym's 300i city is even faster,,,probably pickup a gently used one for under $2500 i would think It's probably going to be at least a year if not 2 before I look to upgrade, however I have been finding 400cc Silverwings starting at around 2k and burgmans 400cc starting around 2k and 600cc starting around 3k used on craigslist in my area. Still not sure what I want to get tho, I may one day wake up and decide I want to get a motorcycle lol.

Bent rim or possibly out of balance tire could cause that.

Agreed. You will need probably need 400cc or better to climb the Mogollon Rim. A heavier scoot will be much more comfortable when facing that crazy wind blast you get when descending into the Verde Valley. I really miss living in AZ. You may not miss it right now depending on where you were at, it is currently 114 F. in Phoenix right now and was 114 F. yesterday as well. And before anyone says "but it's a dry heat", I DON'T CARE it's stinkin hot out right now.

Did the bolts that are holding the starter in come loose? If not pull the starter and look at the teeth on it. May not be the problem but easiest to check, other than that would possibly be in the case the gears that the starter turns, sorry can't think of the actual name for em atm.

if it blows your finger off your good. when my old motor ate the piston and rings, I could hold my finger over the hole while cranking. so as long as it will pop your finger off you have compression that should be fine.

Yea I saw his write up when he did it, only issue is don't think it would be fast enough. My next bike or scooter is going to be something that if I want to I can hop onto north I-17 and cruise from Phoenix up to Sedona or even Flagstaff, and don't want something that I would be running WOT just to keep up with traffic on the freeway. And then with the hills to get up north wouldn't even be able to keep up with traffic, and I would have to check to be certain, but I don't believe you can ride anything that is a "scooter" that is under a 250 on the freeway's here.

So finally got to the DMV to re-take the skills test for my AZ M endorsement. Passed so I am now 100% legal to ride my scooter and when ready to step up to a bigger bike. I am actually starting to think when I step up staying with a scooter and just getting a used 400cc or larger Bergman, or something similar. Have been seeing them on craigslist, for around what I would be willing to spend on a motorcycle, which would be sub $3000. Main reason I am thinking of staying with a scooter is I actually like not having to deal with shifting. Will probably be at least another year if not two so will have to see what happens.

Also if you have the stock air box, check the tube from the carb to the box that rubber air hoses like to crack and break, but is not noticeable until you remove and check. I found this out the hard way replaced my motor and carb and could not get it to adjust properly, turned out the carbs were not the best but was also the air tube was garbage and was letting in too much air. I do know the carbs were bad due to even when I got an uni filter, I still could not get it to adjust right, once I put a quality carb on has been 100% better, sill tuning the carb in but can actually ride now.

Well I changed the needle lean just because I was jumping from a 106 to a 110, all the way lean on the needle was better but still had a slight bog, moved the clip down 2 spots and now the bog is still there but not as bad. So probably just need to fiddle with the a/f mixture and should be good. On the center stand there is no hesitation or bog all the way to WOT. But as soon as I go for a ride has a slight bog and not much of the hesitation, so figure just a little bit more of adjusting while riding, and should be 100%. Even with the slight bog seems to have more power and hits top speed quicker, so even tho the plug was not showing lean or overly rich, I think that may be why I was only getting around 56 mpg.

I take all my oil and gear oil to the local auto parts store. Usually AutoZone just because they are the closest to my house. For gas as long as it is not contaminated with oil or anything, I pour into my cars gas tank lol. If it is contaminated I will just mix with the oil and turn in at the same time.

Only problem is I don't have a 108, have a 105 and a 110, may just throw the 110 in and let her eat and see what happens lol Sorry for the lack of response Kiekara, I haven't had much time for the forums lately. Life has handed me a full plate and time has become a valuable commodity for me at the moment. Luckily, with it being Sunday, I have a minute to catch my breath. I meant to include a 105, 108 and 110. I accidentally included a 106 I guess. I didn't realize I had any 106's... I'll be most interested to see if changing the needle height fixes your bogging issue. I've used these carbs on a lot of different scoots and never had to mess with the needle. Hey no problem, and yea the 106 I thought was a 108 as well but as I looked closer it is a 106, the top of the six almost comes around and touches looking like an 8. Now as far as the testing last night, had more power on takeoff, felt like the old motor when I got the scoot new lol. The bogging was not as bad as far as didn't lose as much power just kinda flattened out until was almost to 5k, but was still picking up mph faster. So I think I will try to change the needle a little bit richer, hopefully I can do it without pulling the carb off, if that still doesn't fix it I may take the cvt cover off and take a look make sure it's not an issue in there restricting the scoot for some reason.
