not saying my results are typical, but when I installed my pod uni filter, I up jetted and had issues with running rich, but stock jets in and was fine. I'm also running a 150cc, never had a 50cc so don't know how much different it could be

if it is flooding while trying to start and it is not starting eventually the build up of gas would be seen in the exhaust, may have to do an actual compression test and or a leak down test. The clogged pipe could have caused damage to the valves, may not be visible without removing the head and doing a leak test on them. The increased back pressure could have even damaged the rings. When you are trying to start it does it sound like it wants to start but doesn't, or does it just continue to turn over and does nothing?

try mapquest.com you can type in where you are starting from where you are going to, filters for no freeways etc. and can also click and drag the route if you want to take a different way than it shows.

So I have just started riding with a little family scooter club in Phoenix. They call themselves "The Go Arounds". Went on my first ride with them yesterday 08/23/15, was going to ride to the top of South Mountain Park, however when we got to the park it was silent Sunday, so no motor vehicles could go up the mountain. However was still a fun ride of almost 50 miles round trip for me, and a little longer for them, they picked me up part way thru the ride since it was going almost past my house anyways. They normally start at 7:00 am at 35th Ave and Union Hills, and will be making different trips. If there are any other riders in the Phoenix area, that would be interested in joining the ride, they will post on reddit under r/scooters.
We had a total of five scooters on the ride, my 150cc Jonway, one 80cc Honda, one 125cc Honda, one 180cc Honda, and one 500cc Aprilia. Just going for a leisurely drive, most of the road we were on the speed limit was 35 mph, max was 40 mph, no freeways.

Another way to check if it is the vacuum fuel pump, take a 20oz bottle drill a hole in the lid to put a fuel hose thru, seal it with something so it doesn't leak, put the fuel line onto the carb, fill the bottle somewhat turn upside down so the gas goes into the carb and try to start. If it starts and doesn't seem to have a problem revving or starting you know your only issue is the pump, but also check to make sure the vacuum lines are good no tears or breaks. If you have a vacuum leak there might not be enough to operate the fuel pump.

I park my scooter outside in the Arizona sun, have had my scooter for about 2 1/2 years. I have noticed that the plastic covering the speedo and tach have gotten to the point where I could almost not see it anymore. I tried the Mr. Clean magic eraser, works like a charm. Got the pad a little wet wiped the cover down and then took another dry cloth to remove anything from the eraser, and the plastic looks almost brand new again, without having to replace or do a lot of heavy scrubbing to it. May not work for everyone but would be a quicker and cheaper fix than replacing the instrument panel.

When my scoot was new it only had the filter before the vacuum operated pump, after about 300 miles my carb's float stuck open, when the dealer fixed it he put another one after the pump. I also noticed the filter after the pump never filled completely, and eventually I had issues where the scooter was running out of gas to the carb, removed the filter after the pump, and have no more issues since.

I had this problem when I removed my starter, I had taken it apart and when I put back together I had put it together upside down, Basically caused the offset to be on the top instead of the bottom so when I hit the starter button the starter would only spin. Now if you did not take the starter apart this would not apply.

Need an 8mm to remove the valve cover bolts, a 9mm wrench to loosen the nut on the valves, and a set of feeler gauges to set the proper lash.

www.itistheride.com/Help_Daymark_valve_adjustment_tutorial.pdfIt says it is for a Daymark, the only difference between this and your scooter is if you do not have the pair system, which is the tube that goes up infront of the valve cover. Everything else on how to do the adjustment is the same on any gy6 150cc motor.
