Yea I'm looking at getting Bridgestone's, found them for around $115 each going to look around a little bit more due to not having the money till taxes come in, but am definitely getting new tires. On a side note if anyone knows of a place that sells the plastic body panels at reasonable prices, I have a few that are needing to be replaced. The left side panel cracked, and the front cowl is broken in a few places along with the headlights are pushed back but not broken. lol The scooter is a 2013 Jonway 150cc.

Yea wasn't raining when I left home, started to mist just before the spill. Have rode in the rain before, don't know if I hit oil or what but it wasn't a fun ride lol.

I'm one of those that always thought, it's not if I go down but when. Well today was the day. Riding in the rain in Phoenix, with not the greatest tires, slowing down around 25 - 30 mph front tire locked up turned sideways, and I'm sliding down Central Ave. Little road rash on my knees, but didn't tear my jeans, scuffs on the palms of my leather gloves, and my hands are sore. New little knick in my helmet. Went to E.R. to be safe, got the all clear from doctor. Scooter got a little road rash on the left side but nothing broken that I noticed yet. Glad I am O.K. and will live to ride another day. So next plan is new tires for the scoot lol.

I know your is a 250 but I have the Jonway 150, if it is at all similar I have to actually start to take the side panels off, top piece under rack and a little piece above license plate light and then can just unclip light from the fixture to replace bulb.

whats still dripping may just be the build up on the bottom of the scooter dripping off a little at a time

Yea didn't think to get the old cam from him, he stated he has had 3 other scooters with the same problem but they all had around 1000 to 3000 miles said it was the first he has seen with as low miles as mine had. But I am also confused because I could find nothing on line about a compression release on a cam, and he said it would only take about 45 min to replace the cam which is what he stated he did, I prob. would have made sure I got the old part if he was charging me, but since he did not I didn't think of getting or asking to see the old part.

I picked the scooter up today dealer said it was a compression release on the camshaft, he replaced the cam with one that didn't have it and my scooter is now running fine. So I was wrong was not a sensor but a part of the cam.

I know this is an old thread but I had the same problem with a 2013 150cc Jon-way scooter with 300 miles on it. Did everything that was stated here and on other sites finally took it to the dealer, turns out there is a sensor on the camshaft that can go bad, dealer is fixing at no charge. Dealer also stated that the cheaper Chinese version still use the sensor but that the Taiwanese versions do not use this sensor due to the problems with it.
