So I have a 2013 jonway 150cc scooter, I have looked at this forum and others on this issue have not tried any fixes as of yet just wanted to sound this off a few people, so issue is sometimes the scooter will start right up and then after a few min will stay running at idle, and sometimes will start up seem to idle fine and when I come to a stop will idle for a min then dies. Sometimes will start right back up and then sometimes will not, when it does not and you give a little gas the motor changes sounds but will not start, after a few tries will start up and stay running if I give a little throttle, when I go to take off the scoot bogs a little bit and hesitates but will take off and after a min will pick up and go all the way to wot, if I am at half throttle and go wot it will bog for a second or two then pick up and go. So I am going to replace my fuel filters (yes I have 2 one before and one after the vacuum fuel pump) have had no issues in the past year with the two filters. Then I am going to us Alley's carb adjustment to tune in my carb. If after I do those two things what should I look at next if that does not fix the issue? Thank you in advance.

Just changed my tires on my scooter last weekend. Used the motorcycle tire bars my dad had from his days in school, old tires came right off, would have thought since I was putting a little taller tire on the new would go on easier, nope was way harder, prolly would have been easier if I had lubed them at all but oh well. However did have a good fun time trying to set the bead, finally just aired the tire up and bounced it off a curb until the bead set, been a week so far and no leaks.

So got my new tires installed today. Bought from bikebandit.com $62.00 each shipped, ordered on Monday one tire delivered on Wednesday, other delivered on Thursday. Got the Michelin city grip 130-70-13, front tire just had to move the rear fender up in the screw slot, rear tire had to deflate to get past the case of the motor, after that went together like a charm.

Thank you bandito, and yes most of the posts I could find about it was for heavier bikes not scooters so I am going to get em and install correctly

I have no idea the exact items in my scoot, all is stock from the factory. But I have had a friend with a 2014 Harley go on a ride with me and stated my top speed was 60 mph at 7900 rpm's. And top speed uphill was 50 mph with same rpm's. Scoot is a 2013 Jonway 150cc and I am close to 200 lbs. The 60 mph top speed was steady for over a mile at wot, on two different rides.

Heard your daughter in the background. Made me miss when my own was that age! Yeh they were both playing upstairs. Victoria is 5 and Elysabeth is 8 . I love the spelling you used for Elysabeth. Do you still pronounce it like Elizabeth, or is it a little different?

Yea, I have been doing a lot of searching, and while I haven't found anything to say you can not do it, they almost all say to put the rear tire on backwards of the direction of travel for the front. Was just wondering if any one on here had any first hand experience with this.

I am looking to get new tires in about a week. I am getting Michelin City Grip tires, my question is I can only find a tire that says it is the rear tire, and am wondering if I can use the same tire for the front as well. Currently my scoot has 130-60-13 tires on front and rear, and I am looking to get 130-70-13, I know I can make them fit if it hits the front fender, rear is not a problem.

VersaChem® Exhaust System Joint Sealer.
Search for that. I got at autozone for around $7, came with little screens to help with repair. I used to fill and cap off the egr port on my header pipe, due to the egr falling off one day while riding lol. have no problems with it and was done about 2 months ago. I ride most weeks 5 days 10 miles a day, back and forth to work.

Yea my accident could have been a lot worse, if no helmet I would of prolly cracked my skull, my head bounced on the pavement. Luckily my wife was adamant about me wearing a helmet, so I use a full face helmet. And my accident wasn't as bad as my dads about 7 years ago. Hit head on at an intersection, shattered his right leg and left wrist. And of course totaled his low mile Honda Shadow, but he is alive and well all considering.

Glad your OK also,, These tires are so small and react very quick because of their size,, anytime you grab the front binders you need to be ready for any possible thing to happen,,in the rain i usually favor my rear brakes more than my front,,but thats just me,,its easier to handle a rear slide then a front wash. Didn't think I hit my front brakes any harder than normal, but may have. I have rode in the rain before not my first time, but then that doesn't mean much as of what happened. lol Probably going to be a little bit before I can ride tho, in the past day my shoulder has developed a bruise and I can barley move it without pain. Realized that when I went down hit my hands and knees, then my right shoulder, onto my back where I slid. So has been a fun day to say the least. lol

Your best bet is probably to remove the broken panels, then tightly tape them together and repair from the rear with epoxy, reinforced with fiberglass cloth if the break or crack is large. Once that's done, you can sand the exterior, use spot-putty and filler-primer to smooth off any cracks that show and sand and finish paint. With the panels removed, it's not all that difficult, and may well be easier than trying to find replacements. Less expensive, too.
Was contemplating this. Found the front cowel for between 80-100 bucks. Found a similar scooter on Craigslist with a seized engine for $200. Would then have all the panels, but I am favoring just repairing and repainting the whole scooters plastics. I need to pull everything off anyway to make sure nothing did get bent or broke from the spill.
