So I have a 2013 jonway 150cc scooter, I have looked at this forum and others on this issue have not tried any fixes as of yet just wanted to sound this off a few people, so issue is sometimes the scooter will start right up and then after a few min will stay running at idle, and sometimes will start up seem to idle fine and when I come to a stop will idle for a min then dies. Sometimes will start right back up and then sometimes will not, when it does not and you give a little gas the motor changes sounds but will not start, after a few tries will start up and stay running if I give a little throttle, when I go to take off the scoot bogs a little bit and hesitates but will take off and after a min will pick up and go all the way to wot, if I am at half throttle and go wot it will bog for a second or two then pick up and go. So I am going to replace my fuel filters (yes I have 2 one before and one after the vacuum fuel pump) have had no issues in the past year with the two filters. Then I am going to us Alley's carb adjustment to tune in my carb. If after I do those two things what should I look at next if that does not fix the issue? Thank you in advance.

There are many different reasons this could be happening, I suggest tuning the carb and letting us know how it goes then we can get into what else it may be if that does not fix the issue.

Check to make sure your valve tappets have some clearance and the right clearances. I once had that problem a long time ago, turned out both my valve tappets had no clearance at all.

so replaced the two fuel filters has gotten a little better, had to work so wasnt able to work on it till today. Going to do a carb adjust if that doesnt help going to pull the carb and clean then re adjust.

Just paranoid about foreign objects making their way through the gas tank and into your system? Do you also still have the filter installed that sits inside the gas tank in the top of the fuel pump to filter before the pump as well?

Reason for the two filters was the dealer, about 2 weeks after I bought the scoot the float stuck and the carb was flooding when they put the new carb on he stated he likes one filter before fuel pump and one after and put the second one in. If there is a filter in the tank then yes it is still there I haven't taken the tank apart, however the fuel pump is on the body of the scoot and is vacuum powered. Also did the carb adjustment no change so going to pull the carb in a couple days and clean then also check the valves while I'm at it.
