So finally got to the DMV to re-take the skills test for my AZ M endorsement. Passed so I am now 100% legal to ride my scooter and when ready to step up to a bigger bike. I am actually starting to think when I step up staying with a scooter and just getting a used 400cc or larger Bergman, or something similar. Have been seeing them on craigslist, for around what I would be willing to spend on a motorcycle, which would be sub $3000. Main reason I am thinking of staying with a scooter is I actually like not having to deal with shifting. Will probably be at least another year if not two so will have to see what happens.

I'm like that, I see no point on shifting on street bikes, it is more an annoyance than something handy, on crotch rockets and dirt bikes it makes sense.

Yea I saw his write up when he did it, only issue is don't think it would be fast enough. My next bike or scooter is going to be something that if I want to I can hop onto north I-17 and cruise from Phoenix up to Sedona or even Flagstaff, and don't want something that I would be running WOT just to keep up with traffic on the freeway. And then with the hills to get up north wouldn't even be able to keep up with traffic, and I would have to check to be certain, but I don't believe you can ride anything that is a "scooter" that is under a 250 on the freeway's here.

Agreed. You will need probably need 400cc or better to climb the Mogollon Rim. A heavier scoot will be much more comfortable when facing that crazy wind blast you get when descending into the Verde Valley. I really miss living in AZ.

You may not miss it right now depending on where you were at, it is currently 114 F. in Phoenix right now and was 114 F. yesterday as well. And before anyone says "but it's a dry heat", I DON'T CARE it's stinkin hot out right now.

Still not sure what I want to get tho, I may one day wake up and decide I want to get a motorcycle lol.

Nothing wrong with a Good motorcycle,,, I love them,,, and you can get good deals if you're patient,,, just like scooters really,,,, and I have a hard time calling anything over 200-250cc a scooter,,,,,but the burg is a good bike,,,,so is the wing,,, I'd be eyeing both of those those,,,

You may also find a good deal on an Aprilia Sport City 250 or an equally good one on an Aprilia Scarabeo 500 or Piaggio BV500.
Watch out because the fuel economy on the 400 and 600 cc Japanese scooters may dissapoint you compared to the Italian bikes. I get better from my Diesel 1978 Fiat Spider than from some of the Japanese Maxi Scooters.
