It really sucks that every time I fill up gas, some gas spills because of the design and shape of my gas tank. I have to use up cut upside down Pepsi 2 liter pop bottle as a funnel for pouring gas in it, Which as you can imagine, is inconvenient

Is gas treatment a waste of money? It claims to clean carburators, improve mileage, and clean gunk in your fuel tank but is there substantial evidence to support this theory?
Looking for answers on this. Thoughts?

Yeah, the sucky thing about Vespas are although GREAT quality, the parts and maintenance are expensive to buy. For example, just to do a valve adjustment on a Vespa, you have to use a jack and loosen the rear suspension nuts and disconnect the muffler JUST TO GET TO THE VALVES where you can be in a position to adjust them. In contrast, i can easily remove the light plastic panels from my china scooter to get to the valves. I also take good care of my china scooter and do a ton of preventative maintenance on it

Hey guys, Happy early Thanksgiving.
I've heard a lot of bad reports of Arco gasoline, and how it doesent have the quality fuel additives like Chevron with Techron or Shell with V Power. Personally, after talking with the guys at Oreilly autoparts, they told me never to use Arco because its terrible for both cars and scooters. It is said you should only use top tier fuel. What do you guys think? Opinions?

Hi guys, just wanted some advice. I was looking for a used Vespa on Craigslist and I found a guy who is selling his 2006 Vespa for $3,000. He was willing to take my chinese scooter plus $2000. I have a 150cc Jonway scooter that has 1,100 miles on it. His 250cc Vespa GTS 2006 model has 8000 miles on it. He is willing to trade it for my scooter plus me paying him $2000 cash. I think it sounds good. Should I give him $2000 plus my scooter for his used Vespa? I think its a good deal but I want advice. Would I get alot more miles out of the Vespa than my chinese scooter so it would be worth it? Opinions?
Thanks!

Good insurance. After that I just try to park it next to better bikes. China scoots not high on the steal me list in most places I go. China Scooter is good insurance for antitheft then :-) I use a DiskLock on my Chinese scooter

It's a bike that I'm working to fix. I've never fixed this before. Could I simply disconnect the brake arm and spray WD40 into it and solve the problem?
Or is there more that I need to do? Like changing brake fluid?
A step by step guide with pictures or video to fixing this stiff brake handle would be HUGELY appreciated.

Hi Everyone. I have a 2003 Stella 150 cc scooter that when you hold the rear brake, the rear brake handle will not depress when held. Its stiff and wont move. It has been sitting for a year but it runs and starts great. Is this an issue with the hydraulic brake fluid or cable? Does anyone know how to get the rear brake to work? What should I do? Thanks

Guys, my advice for selecting an impact wrenches just go to the Home Depot. I bought a 20 V electric plug in impact wrench for $169 plus tax. It has done it's job very well and removing the clutch and variator nuts

Those Chinese Scooter mufflers are not strong at all. I had my 150cc Chinese scooter have the muffler crack on me where the weld line was. Luckily, I noticed the crack right away and since it was still under warranty I got a new muffler for free. Now I always use zip ties and hook the back end of the muffler to something from keeping it from cracking

I totally agree. I think you should only do a valve adjustment when you really need one. You don't want to mess with your engine frequently

Okay guys! I just did my first valve adjustment. Before I adjusted my valves, I used feeler gauges and I found out that both my Intake and outtake valves were too tight.
I set the intake to 0.004 inches and the outtake to 0.005 inches. I put the new gasket on, tighten the bolts, and then took it out for a ride. I noticed that the scooter was much more responsive and smoother with accelerating.
Is this normal?
It sounds a little louder than before. I tightened the 9mm nuts with a 9mm socket wrench then checked the gap. It seemed ok. I did not tighten the nuts down hard though, should I take the valve cover off again and tighten them some more? I read that you should tighten the adjuster nuts very tight To prevent them from coming off

Thanks. After I removed the valve cover, the rubber black gasket needs to be replaced every time I take the valve cover off or oil will start leaking, correct? I've had oil start leaking from the engine because the valve gasket from the cover was squished
