Hi everyone,
I have a friend whose Piaggio Fly 2007 50cc is not idling correctly. The engine will die when idling. He says the last time he rode it was in August 2013, and has not ridden it since. It has about 8,000 miles on it.
When he tries to accelerate, the scooter will die on him. We are thinking of draining the old gas, putting new gas in it, cleaning the carb, and replacing fuel lines. Also, should I try to adjust the idle screw? I've never adjusted the idle screw, so any help would be appreciated. Should I turn the screw clockwise or counterclockwise?
Thanks SO MUCH!

Guys, thank you so much. Now I just have to find the regulator for my model!
One more question, is the regulator located by the battery? If it's not, do I have to remove the plastic to get access to the headset? Where exactly is it?

Hey, my name is Ken, and I have an 02 Bajaj Legend 4 stroke. I had a flat tire not long ago, and changed it seemingly without incident. Since about that time, I have been blowing headlights like crazy. I will be on the road, hit a high rev, and see a flash, then no headlight. I bet it is a bare wire or something, but I don't know how to chase it down. Guys have any advice please?

Thank you for the manual, Scootnwinn!
I will replace those hoses just to see. They are all old and dry cracked by now, I bet.

It has a OIL TANK it is probably leaking from the tank LOOK at the OIL tank and where the hose connects to the tank. Or the hose could be rotten and falling apart. Reason I say it is probably the tank is the oil is on top of the Muffler. Alleyoop Thanks. Any idea what the hose size is? I'm thinking most likely 3/16

I'm just thinking about getting out set of rim protectors and motorcycle tire irons to do the job. I'll lubricate the rim to make the bead come off easier

That sucks. Those manufacturers better come out with a model that has enough storage like a Suzuki Burgman. Burgmans can hold 2 full face helmets!
Say, anyone want to start an AMERICAN scooter company that offers plenty of storage under the seat and is affordable like Chinese scooters with me? Lol, I'm just kidding, but if anyone is serious about this, feel free to comment. It just might be worth investing....

I am helping my friend change her 1978 vintage Vespa's front and rear tire. I have a bead breaker, motorcycle rim protectors, and tire irons.
However, I always see videos on Youtube of people changing tire using a machine specifically designed for the purpose of removing a tire and installing a new one. You have to remove the exhaust first then use an impact wrench or allen key set.
Problem, I ride my scooter and my scooter will obviously not be able to carry such a large machine tool.
I have seen people changing out old tires by hand, using (lots) lubrication, tire irons, Stop N Go bead breaking tool, rim protectors, and tire irons. Would this be possible to do and worth the time to do? Or should I just remove the tire for them and take it to a shop and have them put the tire on?
Good old labor is ok with me, but if its too much, I would rather someone else with the proper tool do it.
I need your guy's advice. Has anyone ever taken off a scooter rear tire by hand and put a new tire on without the specialized tire machine?
Thanks!
