Next time don't make it sound so dramatic. (I thought you were leaving IITR entirely) besides the Piaggio MP3 500 is a great step up. Enjoy! Ha ha, I will never leave this site until I die. The information and the people here are just priceless

howdy all I see lacking is a sign "insured by smith and Wesson" lotsa miles and smiles to ya ken Lol! Hey, that amount of locks does sound like overkill to me. It would be a hassle just to carry them around.

Well everyone,
For the past 10 months, I have owned a 2012 Jonway YY T150–3 Chinese scooter. It was my first Scooter ever, and when it broke down, I could learn a lot from fixing it. I've replaced the spark plug, changed out the fuel filter, replaced a cracked muffler, performed my first valve adjustment on it, and much more.
I bought it from Powersportsmax.com in April 2013, And now it has 1350 miles on it. I am finally selling it, and Someone is buying it tomorrow.
I have bought a used Piaggio MP3 500 with less than 1400 miles on it from Lynnwood Vespa. Although it is sad to let it go, I know I will be very satisfied with my new MP3. that is interstate capable.
I'll be doing some major modifications on the MP3 500 to make it have more storage capacity, as the storage suffers from limited capacity.
Have any of you guys started out with the Chinese scooter, and then upgraded to a better faster scooter?

I definitely will one day. The only drawback to the MP3 500 other than the price, is the lack of storage room. It has less storage than the MP3 250 and MP3 400 series. I want to put side racks on it, and since no one sells them, I will have to improvise and perhaps weld it.

Yeah, my Chinese Jonway YY150 T-3 model needs the bolts tightened every 300 miles, And an oil change every 800 miles.

Guess what everyone?
Just bought a used 2009 Piaggio MP3 500 with 1,400 miles for $5200 out the door!
I really like the extra stability with the extra tire on the ground.
Granted, the maintenance will be more expensive than maintaining a Chinese scooter but I really like the quality And it's a lot more powerful than my 150cc

Now that it's snowing, I feel like the Piaggio MP3 500 is the best choice for gripping the wet roads and slippery ice

Just curious to see what the majority brand scooter we all ride here.
I am assuming that the majority are Chinese brands (Jonway, Roketa, Sunny, etc).
I myself ride a Jonway YY150T-3 that has given me minor issues in the past, but is at 1,300 miles and running strong.

All I can say is, go for it! Just be safe, stay hydrated, and persist until you succeed. We will all be very happy for you once you make it!

Aluminum foil will keep cats away? I know it's often used to keep animals out of gardens but I didn't know domestic house cats would stay away from it, as well. I do have some mouse traps around. About two years ago I got one of those liquid leather/vinyl repair kits. Had it sitting in my closet but I decided to take it out for this. Only problem is my seat is textured with hundreds of little circular depressions so the liquid tends to fill in the little holes, making the patched areas stand out some. Yes it works. Put it on there once and the cat never goes on there again. Cats hate aluminum foil
