If you drive your legally uninsured 50cc scooter at 50mph, you can open yourself up to a big costly lawsuit if you are involved in an accident. You will be essentially buying some trial lawyer a retirement home in Malibu by the time the lawsuit is settled. Motorcycle license, tag and insurance are a bit of a hassle, much cheaper than being sued. Except I suspect most of the people doing this are turnips...as in, you can't get blood out of one.

I did not buy the one I listed. Instead I was at at local bike repair shop today and asked the owner was that a good price. He said I got one for $900 I am selling for a person. Allen had the title from the original owner who bought it new. I looked at it and went and got the money. It rides good, plenty of power and I weigh 283 lbs. It is a 2006. The other one I passed was also a 2006 blue color. It also ran good but was waiting on a title. In Mississippi it takes about 2-3 weeks from the time you apply to when you get it. The only thing, the fuel and the temp gauge don't work. I checked the fuses, all good. Is there something else that works in common with these 2 gauges. Thank ahead of time. Reggie Bad ground?

Not sure why they seem to have stopped selling my Vog 260, which for a while was everywhere. Another basic carbed 257 that meets your needs for local travels and highway jaunts while looking good doing it. The TBX-260 (the BMS version) is still around but now is only sold as EFI so doesn't fit your categories. At a guess, the old 257 Linhai doesn't meet emission standards without EFI.

I would just keep the second one on a maintainer.

I would say the Blast has good power but it was not designed for top speed. It was designed as a beginners bike. The smooth power from that big single makes it easy for new riders to learn how to use the manual clutch. The 250cc Ninja is faster, but the high rpm engine makes it more difficult to master the use of the manual clutch. Nobody wants to stall their bike while pulling away from a traffic light. I've road dirt bikes before , and the buell blast is much easier to get into first without stalling. Actually I haven't stalled it yet . I did almost lay it down in my yard. I was heading out onto the road from my yard and the grass was wet . the rear wheel almost kicked out from under me . If it has the original (Dunlop) tires, REPLACE THEM NOW! They were horrid new and haven't improved with age!

Uhh...a Blast has VERY little power! For a 500cc , yes it is not as strong at top end as it should be. It has great low end torque. Its enough power to run a little over 90mph . they are a low rpm bike. It redlines around. 6000 or so rpms. So its mainly a cruiser. It revs higher than that...I recall the power peak is at 7100rpm.

No...1000+ street miles in a SIX SECOND car! All the unlimited cars will run a 7-flat or better now! (One ran a 6.15 last year.)

Where is your area and are you willing to do your own wrenching?

None of those cars would even be competitive at Hot Rod's Drag Week. And those ABSOLUTELY ARE street cars!

Its the high end of your budget, but check out a used Honda Silverwing or 2007+ Suzuki Burgman.

I find my good work boots (Red Wing) the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.

The Focus is a compact car...the Taurus is a mid-size. And a hatchback isn't as roomy as a station wagon.
