That may work, but I wouldn't recommend it, it would be treating the symptoms instead of finding the cause. The pressure I'm referring to is oil pressure, there's not much in a gy6, but if one of the passages is clogged, it could build up. In 30 years of wrenching, I have never used any type of gasket sealant, and I've never had a gasket I installed leak (knocking on wood here).

It's possible either your case or cylinder needs to be milled flat. Do not use anything but a dry base gasket, using any sealant you risk covering an oil path when tightening down which could lead to forced seepage.

You have to play with it, moving it back and forth as you bend the front forcing the back down. If you can't get it to seat, you'll have to pull the head and cylinder to see why, there could be something in the way. It should sort of snap into place.

Is there any part number or model number anywhere on the cluster? If there is, try Google using that number and keywords such as manual, technical specs, service manual, etc. You could also try emailing support@taotao.us or calling their tech support number 1-855-675-2626. The only digital cluster I saw on the parts site linked to from TaoTao's site is listed for an ATV: www.eagleatvparts.com/product_info.php?cPath=73&products_id=92336

You put it in perpendicular to the floor, slide it in till the holding tabs on the side are all the way in the case, turn it parallel go the floor, then pull it forward till it stops.

Some do have a side stand kill switch. But I'm curious why it does it when you just jerk it to the side. Loose contacts or spring are a possibility.

This one hit close to home: m.reviewjournal.com/news/las-vegas/man-was-shot-death-after-he-stole-scooter-metro-saysI lived in the apartments next to the ones where this happened close to 20 years ago, only a few hundred feet from the spot. It was never the best of neighborhoods, and after the Showboat Casino closed down, it only got worse. I live on the other side of town now, but seeing such a senseless situation somewhere you lived still hits you.

Long shot, but this happened to me. Loose plug boot cap, kickstarting made it connect. Replaced and no problems since (9 months).

Yes, but it's best to put a fuel filter on it and zip tie it up high on the frame.

Does sound like a lean condition. Since you had one hose cracked, I would replace them all, one could be allowing extra air in or preventing full vacuum. It's cheap to replace all the hoses, and a recommended part of PDI. If that doesn't solve the issue, you may need to upjet the main. I say change hoses first because you can get them locally for what you'll spend on jets shipped, and it's good insurance.

Thanks! I'm just glad he's happy with it, he actually was embarrassed of the yellow, I guess there's only a few of us that like yellow.

My nephew turned 17 last month, so I decided to hand down my beloved 50cc yellow Znen to him. Unfortunately, I am the only one in the family that liked the yellow and black paint, so over the past two days I put a new teal(ish) and black (both with metallic flakes) paint job on it. I ran out of primer, and the store also was out of the primer I started with, so I did a light base coat of the black mettalic paint on the two lighter pieces before applying the teal top coat, which matched up pretty nice in the end. Kept details to a minimum, only using the metallic black on the top of the front fender and accent swooshes on the side panels. My nephew is happy,so I guess I am, though I miss my little yellow bumblebee! Here are a few photos, primer, top coat, and clear coated back on the scooter.

I have a 50cc with an 80cc BBK and a 150cc stock, both made by Znen. I built up the 50cc with performance parts, but have kept the 150cc stock so far. The only stock components I've had to replace on them were the R/R on the 50cc (kept blowing headlights till I replaced the R/R), and the turn signal flasher unit and one brake master cylinder on the 150cc. I'm a big supporter of Znen models, they seem to be among the highest quality of Chinese scooters these days, with at least two import rebranders that are mentioned often as high quality using Znen for their business.

That GROSS, ammonia-scented and potentially disease-infested mist in your face which you THOUGHT was from some car's windshield-washer... BUT... in reality, was from the driver of the semi in front of you, who was relieving himself using a "trucker's friend"...
EEEEWWWWW!!! Talk about being pee'd off... Or, rather, PEE'D ON... LOL! At least it DOES take bugs off your glasses...
Leo (thankful for a LARGE Givi windshield on the old Mouse) in Texas TMI!!!
