I cant even afford a Stella! I asked a friend who teaches in Italy to see if he could find a Vespa to disassemble and mail to me in bits, since I cant afford to actually buy one.
He replied that even in Italy he is also n a cheap Chinese scooter.

I want to chrome my full size van, maybe a vinyl wrap so the windows could be done too - it sure would lower the internal temperature in the sun. And kids and adults alike will enjoy watching themselves in the rolling mirror while thy pick hier noses.
Ok, Can I at least do the roof?

Stellas and Vespas have rubbers on their center stand feet.
My Znen looks like it, but they are just lumps of steel. The Xingyue has plates bent around the bottom of the stand.

THe guy that won the Scooter Cannonball run last year took an antique Salsbury scooter that probably came with a ten horse power motor and transplanted a 250 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle motor in it and he ran like crazy blowing away all the other riders in the race. Here is a thread on the build www.tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=50015I have to read that article - but on my 16" Xingyue, or another similar large wheel scooter, IF I had a shop and a little money, a ninja 250 would be an awesome upgrade. Make it shifter scooter with an easy 40hp stock. I've seen pictorials and video about that Lambretta with a Yamaha RD350 two-stroke... Never found anything to read.

Not unless you want it textured. I think they have a carbon-fiber texturing kit

Also on the scooter @2, i have a shorty muffler that is - well - short and straight through. It is louder, but a huge performance upgrade. Original pipe was less than 0.70 I.D, while the new pipe is a full 1" I.D. I leave the neighborhood at low throttle since the engine is still cool at 6:30am.
You should be able to see it in my library, under the Znen title in my photobucket I have not taken a recording, audio or video.

I have a Velcro strap I use for holding levers. But having the leverage of the wheel spokes and the shocks for a stop, easy peasy.

My Xingyue came with no gasket. Found out after 5000 miles! Autozone had a sheet of Felpro exhaust gasket material, with metal in it. I have cut a couple gaskets already.
How do they ship with loads of issues - fuel filters in backwards. Loose and cross threaded bolts, miss wired vacuum and fuel lines. I could about see getting a new scooter in a box, needing 100% assembly.

Nice project. I would like to click over to the album and just view the photos one after another, rather than click the thumbnail from here to a new window or tab, then close that one and click on the next thumbnail. I guess you just don't have the album shared, only direct links?

In this case, the ECU is programmable. No need for another chip. Ecotrons.com

I am going to try carbon fiber vinyl wrap on my motorcycle gas tank. Also thinking about chrome vinyl wrapping at least the top of my van. It sure does collect the heat in the sun! In the meantime, dude at work wanted his rims on his new car a different color, but the dealer option was like $3000 or something crazy. He used this stuff: www.dipyourcar.com/home.phpSays it is durable, and wont come off until you want it to come off.
