I was all prepared to make bends and welds and stuff when I realized I just needed spacers. I did have to make a dent in the can to not be up against the swing arm on the Xingyue.

Helmet Care

I use an eyeglasses moist towelette to clean the visor, and if there is any moistness left, I will wipe down the whole helmet. I do apply an anti-fog called Clarity Defog It - It is so expensive ($12 for 5ml, shipped), I am almost afraid to use it. But it works. I save it for the cooler parts of the season(S) Reading reviews today, lots of TOO TINY reports.

Mine with the big can is plenty quiet. I have a nearly identical header and a small can on the Znen and it is louder. I don't think I could have fit the big can on the Znen unless I could straighten the last bend to keep the muffler low and more parallel to the pavement. And the performance over the OEM pipe(straw!) is great. There is no benefit in the OEM exhaust, except cost - some as low as $40 plus shipping. But they are ubber restrictive. My scooter ride this morning, coming to work. About 80°F, a little head wind, but a quick trip over all. I did not have to put my feet down even one time from my driveway until I parked at work! I saw 9700RPM for the first time. Before I'd only seen up to 9400. Znen was really running strong today I still have some variator work to do. I have drill bits so I can use the far too small 102, 105 and 107 and make them 115, 118, 120... and add the pod filter. (I bought tons of extra, so I can sell them at cost plus shipping, seriously like 60 cents plus a stamp. I'll make another post later) I use an Android app: Google - MyTracks. I think the moving time vs total time includes the short warm up, and the cool down at the end. I made the last 1/4 mile slow and easy - parking lot speed, then 30 seconds at idle before I hit the stop to end my trip record. Id swear my biggest hill is more than 152 feet rise. Going home it is a big downhill, but 99% of the time I have either traffic, stop light at the bottom, or both. goo.gl/maps/fJUKAActivity type: scooter Description: - Total distance: 10.09 km (6.3 mi) Total time: 10:58 Moving time: 09:43 Average speed: 55.13 km/h (34.3 mi/h) Average moving speed: 62.22 km/h (38.7 mi/h) Max speed: .00 km/h (55.9 mi/h) Average pace: 1.09 min/km (1.8 min/mi) Average moving pace: 0.96 min/km (1.6 min/mi) Fastest pace: 0.67 min/km (1.1 min/mi) Max elevation: 278 m (913 ft) Min elevation: 222 m (727 ft) Elevation gain: 46 m (152 ft) Max grade: 3 % Min grade: -26 % Recorded: 7/19/2013 6:29am

Nice find. I probably would have tried getting it welded. Or trying to aluminum braze it myself. I don't have any broken parts to practice on yet.

My Znen seems to have a similar leak. I simple green cleaned the engine bay and hosed it out with water. Also added a new breather line and went to a clean fuel filter mounted up high towards the back. Didn't help. (I think I forgot to plug the port on the intake plenum) The oil is seeping on to the floorboard, and out through the gills slits below the seat. My valve cover is tight, but it is time to check the gasket, and head torque, and valve clearance.
Interestingly, this leak issue did not start until the last oil change - Rotella 5W-40 synthetic. I will either try 15W-40 synthetic or dino oil 10W-40. But since it is already leaking, I doubt a simple change will help.

on my Znen I took each shock off and held in the bench vice to have leverage. I had the seat bucket out to mess with the carb anyhow.

The only time I use a side stand on a scooter is when I am changing the oil and gear lube. High idle at start up while on the side stand is asking for a scooter to take off. I remember so many scooters advertised with remote starters in the mid to late 2000's. Now I never see a remote starter. IF they had used side stand safety switches, then there wouldn't have been an issue. Neither of my two scooters have side stand switches. Or parking brakes. Or manual trans. Once my scooter has been warmed up for a few minutes in the morning, any further stops and starts, I take it down off the center stand, and I am on the seat when I fire it up, ready to go. A good thing about non-rubberized center stand feet, is that you can spin the bike on the center stand, or slide it sideways, like to squeeze it up close to the wall in the garage much more easily than rubberized feet. I normally park beside a bush, and last night I needed to access the right side, so I just spun on the center, degrees to the bush, and back when I was done.
