I have had a Peace (Bashan Motors) 150cc Gy6 for about a month now. First bike I have had in over 20 years. I am over 50 and having fun. A question I have is how far can I go on one of these safely, without causing any engine problems? I am thinking of going 300 miles. I figured I would stop every hour for 10 minutes or so, a longer break and one longer break, and only do about 100 miles or so in a day. Anyone know anything about such things? And suggestions for tools or parts to bring? Thanks and hello again!!!

Welcome, I am assuming it is an air cooled engine, so what is limiting you on how far you can travel is heat and comfort. Some air cooled scooters are very efficient, while others overheat very quickly. When the motor starts heating up too much is when you get parts breaking. Heat can even ruin your drive belt and engine. I don't know your exact scooter, but do some smaller rides and see how hot it runs and how quickly it heats up.

howdy and welcome - i would think that if you can ride at less than wide open throttle you should be safe so if it will cruise at 55 but you drop it to mostly 45 it will do fine. as far as parts and such, i mostly have someone i could call to come get me and the scoot so would carry little more than a small set of tools and a credit card---and phone. but that's me
lotsa miles and smiles to ya ken
