anyone use a 2k torque spring? If so how you even get the belt on, i have to take the clutch off to replace the belt thats with the 1.5k torque spring IF you're careful, you can do like I did, and set up 2 or 3 pistol-grip style clamps. So long as you compress them evenly nd slowly, it works out just fine

Afterfire occurs when un-combusted fuel ends up in the exhaust and is detonated in the header rather than in the combustion chamber. This occurs when the a/f mixture is too rich.

gy6girl,
What are the specs on your scoot? mine are in my sig, but now I am down to a 120 main, and it runs alot better. IIRC, my A/F screw is around 1.5 - 1.75 turns out, and she runs real good. Even in this super-blustery cold 28F weather, I got it up to 68 mph. However I stopped when my fingers and knuckles became completely numb. lol
I also no longer get any after-fire in the exhaust, which is a huge sign that I was running rich to begin with.

With my setup, I went with a 125 main, and I feel I'm a bit rich at the moment. I know with winter, the colder, denser air needs a little more fuel, but I feel I'm a bit TOO rich. lol Thinking I may drop to a 120. It runs real good on the low side, and idles great all day long. But the top-end falls a bit short and feels like it never gets up there, and is taking fooooooooor-ever to hit top speed.

Hmmmm, Any idear what your A/F screw setting is? I'm wondering if your over-working your enricher circuit?
My 150 gy6 is much like yours, and I've got the 1500rpm torque spring, but haven't put in my 1500 clutch springs yet. Think I might do it tho. Also, I will be reducing my variator sliders from 13g to 11g

On your 26mm....what is the stock main jet size vs that of your 24mm? Might have to go up a size or two

True, and in this colder, denser air, it should be easy to dial in on the A/F screw.

Well, I removed my line to my intake and blocked it off. I ran from the pump to the carb vacuum directly, and it ran great, until mid-to-hard decelleration, and it bogged out and died. And she wouldn't start back up without starter fluid.
If you omit the emissions, you have to do the WHOLE system.

Yes, but IIRC, stock A/F is only 1.5 turns out? Might have to drop your main jet size , depending on your intake/exhaust. Based on your details in your sig, I would probably go back to stock jetting until you upgrade exhaust, pod filter, etc, etc
I upgraded exhaust, pod filter, and dremeled my intake and my carb venturi, and I had to turn my A/F about 4 turns out until I finally had to upgrade my main jet. Now with a 125 main jet on my 150cc, I am about 1.75 - 2 turns out.

Ugh! I wish! Blustery and cold here in central OH. About 18 degrees without the wind. Still managed to get some stuff done in the garage this weekend, dispite the cold, cold.....COLD weather. Cleaned my benchtops off, bought a bunch of tools at the local Harbor Freight this weekend (my NEW favorite place!), and did a bunch of work on my Sunny 150, too! - Vented/slotted my clutchbell - Bought a new hi-perf. Variator setup for it - Made a custon alum. bracket for my shorty exhaust - Ported/polished/re-jetted carb. - Replaced all tubing with hi-quality tubing and retainers Oh, and managed to squeeze in a complete cleaning of the master bath, 5 loads of laundry, and 2 trips to the gym. All-in-all, quite productive weekend.
