hey guys, seen a few threads about removing this system. Mine was partially removed about a year ago when new head went on with no EGR valve. The canister and lines are still hooked up on the bike. Found my air hose from filter to carb is badly cracked. I have a replacement, but here's the problem. The bad hose has a nipple on it and a line hooked to the PAIR canister. The new hose doesn't have the nipple. Beside the line coming into the canister from the air hose, there is a line running to the fuel tank and one to a T connector to the petcock and carb. I know I can just remove the T and hook the petcock straight to the carb for vacuum, but what about the line to the tank? Can I just plug that off or should it connect elsewhere? I temporarily fixed the cracked hose with duct tape, but need to put the new one in soon. Thanks for all the help! Sean

Well, I removed my line to my intake and blocked it off. I ran from the pump to the carb vacuum directly, and it ran great, until mid-to-hard decelleration, and it bogged out and died. And she wouldn't start back up without starter fluid.
If you omit the emissions, you have to do the WHOLE system.

I'm thinking straight line from petcock to carb, and closing off the line to the fuel tank so it would be like it wasn't there. then rip out the canister. I figure that would be the best way, then it would be like the system never existed. Just wanted to verify if I was right.
