Yup, run far away from that "mechanic". A quick search for parts turned up this www.scooterwreckers.com.au/tgb_main.htmIt appears that TGB was a manufacturer/parts supplier for Piaggio as well as several others, so there should be some cross compatibility as far as parts go. Reviews seem to be very good on TGB.. Ah, here we go. You might have already found this: tgbforum.com/Hope that helps....

30-40 ft/lbs on the 50cc's, around 60 ft/lbs on the linhai 250cc types. Not sure on the 150's. Your milage may vary. Mine from factory was extremely hard to remove, so I'm guessing it was around 120 or whatever the max on the assembly line was.. That is not unusual. I made a cheap tool by measuring the distance between the holes in the variator, and using a piece of flat bar aluminum that we had at the shop. I notched out the area to access the variator nut with an extension on my torque wrench, and drilled holes so that I could run a couple of 3" long bolts through the flat bar. Using nuts on either side of the bolts let me set the depth to accommodate the height of the socket. The flat bar is long enough that the end braces against the ground.

Yup, most non-riders don't understand the physics of two wheelers, even though they must have rode bicycles at sometime in their past. I had a friend on the back of my kz750 years ago who asked when we got parked after I made a slow and easy turn into the lot "How did you know it wasn't going to tip over?" I told her I just hoped and prayed.. Then I explained gyroscopic action and momentum to her. She's one of the best computer people I know, not dumb, just had no experience in that area. Too old to ride? If you are too old to ride, you usually won't make it out of the parking space. Too old to DRIVE on the other hand.. Sometimes they don't figure that out until after they've driven through the crowd of people at the bus stop..

I had some problems mounting my replacement, so took it to Motorcycle Tire Center. They finished the mounting at no charge, so I tipped 'em a $20. Then had to go back in cause the bead hadn't set properly. No problem... I've bought motorcycle tires from Cycle Gear, but don't have them do the change, because their lead time is usually 4 or 5 days..

Well, truthfully, helicopters. But I couldn't in good faith put all of the above or any, cause I just have no love for bobbers or cafe' racers. My least favorite ride in the world has to be public buses.... Driven a one seater hovercraft once, and it was lots of fun. Most everything else from Armored Personnel Carriers to snowmobiles and jetskis, 50cc monkey bikes to sport/cruisers. Been a passenger in a small helicopter transfering from a lighting wildfire crews, to being convoy overfly in the old Hueys. Ultralights and parasails. But the most fun, the helo's. For crossing the country, motorcycles...Just my opinion, and everyones different, that's why they make so many different rides.. Keep riding, keep smiling..

Hey Ricardo, heal well and fast.. Looks like you are using up all the bad luck at a quick burst. Try not to get the impression that the world is trying to beat you up. Everything changes.. Live long and happy.. Tomorrow is another idiot in a car, but it'll probably miss you...

Greetings, One of the first things for you to determine is which engine is in your 250. They come with either a Honda clone engine, or a Yamaha/Linhai clone engine. They are not parts interchangeable...

Ah, maybe Altimeter Graph, option 4. in the Google play store. Must have android 4.0.3 or above. Probably a few more graphing apps for cyclists, plus there are some stand alone hardware devices, though more expensive. Casio Protrek at around $200.00 for instance..

Not sure if this is the same thing, but android app "GPS Speedometer Free" by Dan Cadar will also write a google earth file, and includes top speed, average speed, trip time and altitude data.. Also can be set for a reflective HUD display.. Hope that helps..

Hey Jerryscript, thanks for the tip. I didn't know there was a scooter scrap yard in town, other than some of the towyards, who seem to have hundreds of scooters that they don't seem to let go of.

I don't know how available the parts you wish to cut are if you wanted to return it to original. If possible, I would try to remove the plastics and fab up a replacement instead of cutting the original, unless I could find a second part to cut and play with. Even then, I would try to mock up the plastics with cardboard and see if I like the general look before cutting..

As far as the nose goes, I think it just needs something to break up the lines a little. Myself, I would probably consider a fairly massive hood ornament, like a Mack truck bulldog, or a Rolls Royce lady with wings. Maybe build up a small platform to angle the ornament properly.. Another thought might be to cut another headlight mount just below the first one and mount a second light..

I don't know if you are riding anything other than the Majesty right now. If not, then certainly go for it. I have a ' FJ1200 sport/touring bike and my 250cc touring scooter. Different bikes for different things, and each a pleasure to be on when I choose it. Some people look at the scooter and ask why I ride it when I have the motorcycle. Better gas milage for the to and fro work commute, easier to handle the stop and go traffic, and sometimes my arthritis is bad enough that I really can't use the clutch. But on the good days off, hitting the hiway on the big bike with a few other riders, and twisting the throttle on the FJ... Good stuff!! And I use one to get parts for the other, as needed..Happy riding...

Oh, I do truly hate the drivers who yield their right of way to me at intersections, waving me on and assuming that others will, too. That does put us in harms way..

Nevada is one state that passed the left turn law. Problem is that if you are making a left turn from a street that doesn't have a left turn lane, the light doesn't "cycle", so you will never get to two cycles, so I wait a "reasonable" time, check traffic, and go.
Hi, Beenriding, your post filed while I was typing mine... I'm not a fan of lane splitting either, and, though not legal here, you see lots of it..Good riding to you, and if you are in Vegas, watch the rain slick roads today..
