Yeah, I wouldn't have touched it either. Tons of bikes and motorcycles around Las Vegas with no titles. The seller always says: "Easy to get title". If it's so easy, then they should get the title, and maybe add the cost to the selling price. There is always another deal just down the road. Oh, and often the scream of the scammer is "You're trying to scam me!!"

and if the CL doesn't work out, check with some of the auto towing companies about upcoming auctions and their inventory list, if you haven't already. Most people forget about them, but a lot of crashed up scoots are never reclaimed and are sold at public auction.

WOW! Just did a net search on this subject, and it is nearly as debated as oil or gas grades.. Guess I'll have to use a day reading up on it. Jarlaxle, I do recall that in cars with non radials the proper way to rotate the tires was back left to front right, and back right to front left, resulting in tire reversal, though that may have been to even out wear on the tread..

Looks like a 4 year run on the honda elite 125-150 in the US. Lots of parts available on Ebay. Biggest change in the run was the size increase from 125 to 150, so most parts should be interchangable.. From what I can find, the engine was watercooled, and unique to the honda elite series. Seems to be very little AN125 listings on Ebay. After looking into these a bit, unless the price was good and I was handy with a bit of DIY work, I think I would look around for something using a more modern GY6 engine.. Hope it helps...

Well, 'Kat, I understand the plan. Once I got my 1200, I figured that I would use the 250 to commute to work, thereby keeping the in-town miles off of the big bike. To a large extent, that has worked out, though not as much as planned. I still generally ride the 1200 to work two or three days a week, depending on what I'm doing after work. Still, keeping 50 or 60 miles a week off of a 25yo road bike is useful. (And the truth is, both are just as much fun to ride, each in their own ways). Dry roads to you....

It's good to have two vehicles. Sometimes you have to do a little "parts running". A few months ago, I needed to replace a valve stem on my FJ1200. Removed the rear wheel setup, strapped it on the back of my mc-79-250, and took it to the motorcycle shop for the change out. Way better than rolling the wheel down the road..

I see that you are in Costa Rica. In the US, I would go honda, mostly for parts availability, since I'm not sure that the Suzuki was sold here. If it was popular in Costa Rica, then my choice would be based on milage and condition. If new, either should be very dependable.. See? no help at all..

Have you checked around your area for belt, bearing and chain shops? Might be fairly reasonable to just have them cut what you need..

My mc-79-250 uses 130/60-13s front and rear. I don't know about reversing the direction on the front. AFAIK, the arrow on the tire indicating rotation direction is there for two reasons, one, it indicates the orientation of the tread for grip and water displacement, and two, it indicates direction of the interior belt construction for direction of stress (though that may only apply to bias ply tires). I hadn't heard that the front should be reversed, and see no reason why that would apply..Just my couple o' cents worth..

Trust me.. I live in the Mohave desert. A silver mesh jacket with heat out shirt is much cooler in the summer than bare skin. The mesh acts as shade. Plus you can soak the heat out shirt and it cools while moving. It doesn't cool you as much as it stops you from getting hotter. Every summer people ask how i can wear a jacket in the heat. I have to explain that it isn't that type of jacket..

Oh, and a little late to the table with this.. Your rear tire is properly inflated, right? If so, have you checked your plug to see if you are running lean? If no other solution, maybe an extension after the muffler to redirect the exhaust to the side. Doesn't sound right, definitely.

I just stole this from Scootdawg for 2008. Hope it helps.. scootdawg.proboards.com/thread/16749/seat-access-linhai-260wxguru Great Big Guru Dawg ***** wxguru Avatar Silver MC-54-250B; Linhai Version Posts: 749 Seat access Linhai 260 Sep 26, 2008 at 5:38am Post Options Post by wxguru on Sep 26, 2008 at 5:38am Oh my....do I feel your pain. I had a problem on Wednesday with mine. My 2nd latch on the back of the seat never worked, and the spring never worked to it either....what happens on Wednesday? The back latch caught, and I had no way of getting the seat open. I cursed, smashed fingers, and 40 minutes later, had it open. How did I do it? I don't know how yours is, but what I did was carefully pry up on the seat (the side latch worked fine).....carfully pried it up until I could slip a pair of needle nose pliers in. I reached down into the seat latching mechanism (difficult, but with patience, I got to it), and I popped the side latch line out of its holder so I had access to the rear latch line (directly below the side latch...can't get to it without popping the side latch line off). I then popped it out of its holder (the little plastic piece that holds the actual line in place)so I could pull on the line. The little ball and line was still secure in its spring latch device. So I was able to reach up under the scoot, and grab the rear latch line and pull...while pulling, I put light pressure on the rear, and sure enough, it came undone. I still have a very sore thumb from smashing it. Good luck, just think of any solution you think might work and try it. That is what I had to do....and I finally found the right one for me. I didn't break the seat, but was afraid I would by prying up on it so much....but all is well now. Last Edit: Sep 26, 2008 at 5:40am by wxguru 2008 Silver Roketa Cyprus 250 (MC-54-250B) 4076 miles since Jul 2008. Pirelli SL-26 Tires 2242 miles so far. Read more: scootdawg.proboards.com/thread/16749/seat-access-linhai-260#ixzz3Xsp6XV4Y My Mc-79-250 cable came undone, and I had to do similar prying on the seat to get to the cable. Don't worry too much, at least on mine the seat frame is plastic, and flexible and can take a fair amount of bending without loosing its shape.. Good luck to you..

Did it stall with the old pump? Have you checked the fuel filter? If partially clogged, it would work as you say. Also, if the stall is new, make sure your airbox is tightly connected to the air intake on the carb. Hope that helps some...
