I've been thinking about this for some time, love my scoot but the looks are dated. So I thought some body work could change it's too heavy appearance to something sportier. Then I saw this pic online that someone else has done. They cut the rear skirting above the trim line, I was planning on cutting to the bottom of trim. This my scooter now... Want to trim my rear skirting like this one.

The rear is decent but have been thinking about the front since I got it. JerryScript If the new Elite plastics do fit the front it would definitely be an improvement. Been thinking about trying a small hood scoop to see if it breaks up all that plastic. scooter

As far as the nose goes, I think it just needs something to break up the lines a little. Myself, I would probably consider a fairly massive hood ornament, like a Mack truck bulldog, or a Rolls Royce lady with wings. Maybe build up a small platform to angle the ornament properly.. Another thought might be to cut another headlight mount just below the first one and mount a second light..

I like the second light idea, I've already added a LED light bar right on Rudolph's nose, think will try giant (top fuel dragster) scoop. But should I cut my plastics?

I have to say, the trimmed rear does look more sporty. As far as the nose goes, that's how you know it is a Honda Elite I like that the Elites basically look like a Honda Ruckus when all the plastics are removed, although a lot more ratty.

I think the cut version looks much sportier, even makes the nose look smaller. Yeah, those naked ones are a little too ratty for me, need to hide the wiring at least. Is that yours? Skunk Shampoo

I don't know how available the parts you wish to cut are if you wanted to return it to original. If possible, I would try to remove the plastics and fab up a replacement instead of cutting the original, unless I could find a second part to cut and play with. Even then, I would try to mock up the plastics with cardboard and see if I like the general look before cutting..

I agree, the wires and things sticking out doesn't look so good. The pic is something I pulled off of the web. I've just got my Suzuki FA50 for now, but plan to move up to a Honda Helix :-)
I was considering an Elite 250, but I hear the handling is scary at higher speeds.

I get scared at anything over 65, the bike seems stable, but with the motor screaming and the force of the wind against me I get uncomfortable. The Helix, ugly as it is, is an awesome machine, they're going to be around for awhile.

There's plenty of these panels available, but the cardboard prototype is a good idea for sure. I bet it comes out awesome.
