As long as it doesn't run worse Amen; not gonna complain as long as I can ride! What's more, it's ready if I ever decide to do a bbk.

For the record, put the new carb on today. No performance gains. It made no difference w/the bigger jets.

Gas may be a fuel of the past in 40 years but we'll still be tryin' to figure out ways to save. Mega Kilowatt extender bridge bypasses. Maybe.

Looks great. Is it legal to ride with mp3 player/head phones in? I figure if volume is kept down, it would be no different than riding in a cage w/volume at equal level with regard to being able to hear emergency vehicles/etc. EDIT: already checked; for your state's laws, here: www.americanmotorcyclist.com/Rights/State-Laws.aspx

Shawn, in my experience and from what I've gathered reading, getting a Chinese scoot just gives you something to ride while you rebuild the whole thing into something respectable (just about everything will need replacement, imo). Now that I'm near the end of my upgrades, lacking only replacement hoses and some wiring as for typically replaced parts, I can say that I'm satisfied with this final product, but in general, I wish I had bought a 2t and I wish I had bought Japanese.

105 miles per dollar, that's like 375 mpg. You sure that's right?

I was checking over my fuelly reports and realized I've tracked (gone) 2,300 miles for under $100. I had to brag on FB so I said, "Don't hate me because I'm scooterful."

We are at an unprecedented time in how many data are available through electronic networks about people, but if somebody wants those data, they won't need you to volunteer it on Facebook to find it. If you've got a credit card, ever made a purchase online, have a birth certificate or have ever been arrested or ticketed, anybody who would do harm will be able to get your data. To avoid Facebook for security reasons is to guard the front door only of a 15-door house.

Thanks teddy I'll keep an eye out for that stuff. The surface stuff indicates I'm not running rich bit I'll re-check the plug before and after swapping the carb.

You can get a keychain or gumstick cam for less than ten bucks and slide it between the top of your earpad and upper part of your helmet; looks everywhere you do, stays out of the weather, doesn't get all the wind, only small risk is if you have an accident, there is a tiny percentage of a chance that it gets lodged into your brain, which isn't all bad; who couldn't use a video recorder in their brain?
