Yeah good point. I can find plenty of pics elsewhere. I definitely don't want to have pics on the page connected to a mentality if insanity. They don't come braver than me, but not wearing gear is just meaningless suicidal thinking. No freedom is lost with the right gear.

I'm with you on that rockynv. A scooter should be relatively waterproof. No hard rain should run the risk of destroying some electrical component. I realize that we want "cheap," and when you buy cheap, you aren't going to get all the detail-oriented extras, but I would suspect that vulnerable electrical connections would be protected at least with heat shrink (where overheating is not an issue) or even factory-applied dielectric grease or CorrosionX. My CDI is facing up (connectors up), Alleyoop; I was afraid that the first splash would fry it if facing down, and it seemed that no water would really get in there from rain or from the way I sprayed the cleaning water, plus I had treated it thoroughly with CorrosionX; it just seems to me that the electrical system is so unnecessarily delicate. Is that an incorrect observation? I'm probably biased.

Yes I'm an IT guy, h3nry and actually used to teach electronics at a career school so it's not a lack of understanding regarding electronics, it's just waterproofing; I've used CorrosionX on all of my electrical connections which is as effective or more effective than dialetric grease by written accounts but it didn't save this CDI.
Thanks Alleyoop, handwashing from now on. But saddened that I have to avoid rain.

Washed my scoot yesterday at the carwash; only used the hose -120 seconds. CDI burned up. Last one I lost was after riding through a few puddles. Isn't the design of the CDI like having a brain w/o a skull? Has anybody successfully made their own skull? (I wonder about the unit overheating if enclosed in anything).

I'd like permission to post some of these photos on our FB page, one1. Is that ok with you?

I ride in all weather. It's hard to enjoy riding in a heavy rain, but I figure I'm giving her a free pressure wash.

I'm personally good with a little sub-$10 keyfob camera; video and audio is good and it takes still photos. This is one video I took fairly recently
Spots are on my visor.

It's funny because on the page you shared, it shows that edition shipping with 8GB in the description, yet at the bottom it says in includes a 4GB. People don't pay attention anymore when they make ads.

Right; my holes are on the outside of the filter so the air is still filtered and I've already upjetted. I just wanted to make sure I was actually introducing more air into the system.

Roger that. Just wanted to make sure. IF it were the case that air were only entering through an outside push or push-assisted, then drilling holes in airboxes (and the like) would actually reduce air intake (the air coming in the hose/spout area would take the path of least resistance and fly out the holes vs. going into the engine). Thanks guys.

On a typical scoot intake system, is air forced in from the spout on the box or is it sucked in?

Not a horrible price. I'm always amused when I see stuff like this though; battery will allow recording for 3 hours; included storage will allow only 80 mins of video 16GB card would seem the natural choice. Meh.

Things like this is why I have always disagreed with the choice of motorcycle/scooter throttle control. Falling off generally increases speed. They need to institute a thumb control or something that would not ramp up speed as a human reflex causes him to hang on/up throttle when falling off or when the bike is getting away from him. Glad you're ok.
