For people interested in action cameras, and GoPro is out of your price range The Veho camera, which I used for my youtube videos, is on sale again for a limited time. www.dailysteals.com/heist/7124/Veho-MUVI-Sports-CameraA crazy number of mounts and bits including a waterproof housing. In fact I have a few videos on youtube taken with a Veho www.youtube.com/user/steved457/videos?view=0&flow=gridI do need to find a good cheap video editor. I don't remember what I used for these, but it has an automatic youtube setting plus uploader. The video without the waterproof enclosure has better sound, duh. I think all 6 of those videos are with naked camera and no enclosure. I tried some with the camera on my pocket or lapel but they tend to be aimed high. My video 'test-2' shows that issue in the van. I will try to add more review as the weather warms up.

Not a horrible price. I'm always amused when I see stuff like this though; battery will allow recording for 3 hours; included storage will allow only 80 mins of video 16GB card would seem the natural choice. Meh.

It's funny because on the page you shared, it shows that edition shipping with 8GB in the description, yet at the bottom it says in includes a 4GB. People don't pay attention anymore when they make ads.

I'm personally good with a little sub-$10 keyfob camera; video and audio is good and it takes still photos. This is one video I took fairly recently
Spots are on my visor.

I may give this camera a try at my next autocross. I usually mount my digicam, but I'd hate to lose it off the car.

I've got that camera. It takes pretty good videos and still shots. But, I mounted mine to my mirror stalk, and the vibration makes the videos so shaky they aren't worth the effort. I have fashioned a velcro attachment to put it on my helmet, but haven't taken any vids with it yet. The helmet mount that comes with the camera is made for a bicycle helmet, with the strap on the mount designed to loop through the air slots on a bike helmet.

That's one reason I favor the small, cheapo cams; you can insert them inside your helmet to capture your speaking (w/o a seperate mic), protect them from weather, to look where you look, and to keep them from shaking like they would if attached to your bike.
