I keep seeing post on fb and other sites saying stuff like the season is ALMOST here! I can't imagine having any type of powersports and not have fun year round. The only weather here in Alabama that stops me involves ice, flooding, high winds (higher than 40mph gusts)or lightning. However I do realize that other states get feet of snow but i have friends that looks for breaks in it and take short rides. I guess I don't understand cause I'm a year round rider.

The Spring riding season is almost here. After that will come the Summer, Fall and Winter riding seasons.
Not quite an Endless Summer here in Southern Florida but close enough.

I ride in all weather. It's hard to enjoy riding in a heavy rain, but I figure I'm giving her a free pressure wash.

after the snow and ice, a huge concern is the salt and sand left on the roads. Even in a cage, you can feel the wheels lock or spin under heavy braking or reasonably aggressive acceleration. Rain alone doesn't bother me. But oi slicks brought up by the rains do make me more cautious, even with only 8hp. A sliip spot is what put me down under braking.
Riding in the rain is like driving through bugs, except they don't leave you covered in bug guts.
I have ridden down to about 20°F with sketchy patches of frost. Unfortunately it takes longer to gear up than to ride 6 miles to work, so I get lazy and leave the scooter home.
The rain we had all day yesterday, probably made for some clean roads, but now it is snowing again. Last year I was riding on March 12, and March 14 the year before.

Everyday commuter here. Came home through blizzards tonight, took it easy on snow covered roads this morning. Fortunately the gritters were out during the day so I didn't have to cope with both!

I don't ride in the rain if I can avoid it. And for sure not in ice and snow. And, my fingers get numb if it's too cold, so I try not to ride when the temps dip down below the mid thirties.
I like to ride for the fun of it, and if the weather makes it not fun, then it's not fun to ride.
