I just changed my oil and replaced the dino oil with Mobil 1. Now my scooter leaks. The bike has 2660 miles. Has anyone else had this happen? I haven't really tracked down exactly where it is leaking from. I'll look into it further tonight but I'm just wondering if this is something that has happened to others.

A GY6 is not really going to see much benefit from sythetic oil as it has no real oil filter however with the seals and gaskets being so marginal you will be more prone to leaks or seepage.

I'm sure it has little to do with using synthetics. What could be is you didn't close the oil drain well, or you overfilled, and it's just leaking out of the drain. If there's no drain pipe, it'll just come out of the overfill hole (or something), making your engine oily.

Don't listen to people who tell you the gy6 isn't work synthetic oil, why would you skip on maintence quality? Give it a day or two just to see if its just oil dripping off the outside of the engine, unless your getting a huge puddle.
