Hi guys,
Trying to make room for some of the new parts coming in. We are running a special on 72 cc cylinder kits this month for only $15! We also have the usual 50% off sale going on with coils going for $2. Give us a call to get set up for the best prices on quality parts in the US.
thanks, For the 72cc cylinder kit, is it $15 or $39.99? The website www.valleyscooterparts.com/mosp.html shows $39.99

I would like to get a survey on people's experience with their 150cc based GY6 Final Gear Ratio Mods.
Please state: 1. Engine Size: Stock, or Big Bore (please be specific on Diameter or in CCs or even stroker changes) 2. Wheel Size 3. Stock Final Gear Ratio 4. Your New Final Gear Ratio 5. Your experience in changes in performance (lower/higher max mph, lower/higher acceleration, etc)
Thanks!

Did you try the performance coil with the conventional CDI? Might as well try that combination.

For this recently released 150cc Maddog ( PMZ150-19), is it going to b Kalifornicated, meaning CARB approved and legal for DMV registration in the People's Republic of California?
I live in SoCal (OC), do u guys register bikes directly with DMV, or do I go thru one of our distributors?

I have a set of 10 gram koso sliders and a few sets of dr pulley 9, and 11 gram sliders. My koso sliders keep getting out of place and stopping my variator from opening all the way when i stop. This is destroying my belts . I of course decided to not use the 10 gram koso slidefs anymore so if anyone wants them ill senfd them out for free. They only have about 200 miles on them so they are like new. Is your 150cc GY6 a regular GY6, or is it GY6-B? The GY6-B has 57mm spacing between the head studs, vs 54mm on a conventional 150cc GY6. The reason why I ask is cuz I have a friend who has a GY6-B scooter. He bought a set of "replacement" rollers (the regular 150 GY6 ones), thinking they were all the same but they are not. What may be fooling in this situation, is that it will work for a little while, and the weights will fall out of place.

I have two scooters have the same external look, but each use a different stator-system: (1) AC/8-Pole, and (2) DC/12-Pole.
I would like to be able to swap engine/transmission/rear-rim/muffler between the two of them, without having to swap the Stator & Flywheel everytime. I don't mind swapping the CDIs.
What kind of wiring changes would it be needed for: 1. Re-wiring from AC/8-Pole to DC/12-Pole, and 2. Vice-Versa, re-wiring from DC/12-Pole to AC/8-Pole.
Once I understand the basics, only then will I worry about how to feed the accessory lighting (battery-fed on DC-Stator vs generator-fed on AC-Stators).
Thanks.

I hit 9700 rpm on Friday morning, 56mph. Are you running stock valve springs, or fancy NCY ones?

I already purchased a $13 bearing splitter (small, 2-1/4") from ebay. That, along with my existing wheel puller set from Harbor Freight (http://www.harborfreight.com/46-piece-bolt-puller-set-37824.html), I'm going to try to yank this thing. If I can't, I'm going to bite the bullet and try the EBay of China called AliExpress, for a tool that is specific in pulling it out, kind of like the Pitman Arm Puller mentioned above. They have GY6 specialized tools such as this Timing Gear Tool. Apparently $20 + free-ship. www.aliexpress.com/item/Timing-Gear-Tool-For-WJ-125-Motorcycle-Repair-Tools-AT-G236-Free-Shipping/370890172.htmlJust like in the early days of EBay, gotta try once to see if we can trust it. They have other tools specific to GY6 that seem inexpensive and very handy when you need them: 1. Manual Variator Face Holder, so you can remove that Variator Nut, $10.12 + free-ship www.aliexpress.com/item/GY6-Scooter-Variator-Remover-Puller-Tool-Scooter-Parts-AT-G204-Free-Shipping/332348117.html2. Bearing Puller RemoVer Set, $33 + free-ship www.aliexpress.com/item/Bearing-Puller-Remover-For-Scooter-Motorcycyle-ATV-Yamaha-Honda-Suzuki-Automobile-Bearing-take-off-Repair-Tools/710451548.html

Any suggestions on what tools to use to pull the Timing Gear of GY6 150cc? I'm trying the 2-1/4" Bearing Splitter (from EBay) and Puller Set (from Harbor Freight Tools #93980) method. (see scootdawg.proboards.com/thread/40748/leaking-cracked-gy6-crankcase?page=1 3/4 down the page). I'm having a hard-time fitting the Bearing Splitter in it, before tightening it, and then using the Puller Set. Has anybody bought through AliExpress? Is it safe if we use PayPal? They have great prices directly from their vendors, but I don't know how safe the purchasing transactions are. Thanks

It was marked down to $799, I talked it down to $750 cash. Great find, that's a steal! I think they normally go for $1500, probably $1250 for us in LA area who are close to the major distributors. The Symba 100cc (not 110cc like BMS Bi-Metro) normally go for $2500 new. A used one with less than a 1000miles, even at a local Sym & Kymco dealer, it took them two months to sell this used one for $1250-1500.

I think dropping a new engine is the way to go. But before you shop around for one, make sure you take a note on what you currently have on your scoot: 1. Do you have a short or long case? 2. Stator: AC or DC? 8 or 11 poles (AC)? 12 poles (DC)? 3. Figuring out the manufacturer of your scooter is helpful to know the pedigree of the drivetrain. As a last resort check the first 3 digits of the VIN and search for the manufacturer. I know I have a Znen short-case on my scooter, which has a a DC CDI system with 12 poles. When it's time for me to buy a new engine, I will buy from a Znen Scooter distributor (SSR, BMS or Puma Cycles). Why? Because % of the motors out there are AC with 8 poles. If I buy an engine with AC CDI with 8 poles, then I have to do more work, pull the stator-flywheel, pull the stator, but the USED stator back in, put the USED stator-flywheel, etc ... If I buy the correct one, I just drop the engine in, attach carburetor, connect fuel, snap-in electrical harnesses, rear tire, muffler ... and off you go.

I put stronger springs in my factory clutch and guess what? it broke very soon after, along with many other folks' Ive read about on the forums. What performance clutch do use for replacements? I had a stock clutch start to disintegrate on me after only 3000 miles. Good thing I caught early when only metal brackets next to the shoes peeled off a little bit. And all that using stock contra and clutch-springs.

I can't even buy this item, even though I'm 30miles away, and I could save the $200 shipping by picking it up with my pickup ... I can only get the Californicated scooters, and that removes a lot of the variety that's available to us ...
