Me neither. Its just frustrating, and makes you question things especially when they tell different members different things when more likely than not, it,s all in the same shipment. If you know anything about cargo containers, they are very large, im sure neither scrappy or any other dealer gets one weekly. maybe they should'nt charge your card until they have the part in-house.

ok, this is Rick, and I've not been on in a short while and just saw all this grapevine. Not sure where to start, and if anyone knows me personally will know that while i will give you the world and am a very nice guy, i do get beligerent when I'm personally attacked our any of my companies are even suggested as being deceptive. I'm not directly involved in SDS operations, so you will never get me on the phone, nor will you have me answer any of the emails you send to SDS. I have some very good employees who are much better at customer relations than me. I own several companies, and am an educated mechanical engineer holding several patents. Getting past me personally, and attending to this matter, everyone should know that no one, either me, SDS and it's employees, it's customers, etc, want a delay in shipment. It's very annoying to everyone involved. The gals in the office do there best to deal with a bad situation, and are instructed to refund anyone immediately if they request it. This last container was supposed to arrive the first week of April. It left late because of tire and engine regulations new at the Ningbo China port. Upon arriving finally, the great Dept. of Homeland Security decided to choose this container for "security inspection". Security is high since 9/11, and this new tension between us and china related to the theft of military secrets by the chinese government is making it very bad at this point. The container waited in line behind hundreds of other containers going through one wharehouse to be completely unloaded, boxes opened, inspected and compared, and reloads. I was then charged an exorbitant amount on top of import duties for this all to be done. in the meantime, our inventory was getting depleted, and actually another container is already on the way. It was just realeased today and will move over to the release wharehouse to be shipped up to us in Las Vegas, which is a half day trip. It will then be unloaded and stocked. Parts from backorders will be picked and shipped even before stock to expedite. It's a nightmare situation, but we're willing to do this because that's what we do and are in this business because we all love the scooter industry and do our best to keep it stocked with quality parts at a very reasonable cost. If anyone has any questions, or needs to cancel an order, be sure and contact service@scrappydogscooters.com . Shelly is very competant and helpful.

my threads were not intended to "bash" or offend the people at SDS.I am completely satisfied with the explanation we all just received.Thats all i wanted in the first place. and my experiences with container ports and customs was probably different because these shipments were mostly very large machines, not 1000's of parts in one container. Again, sorry for any offenses, none meant

hey at least the guys at scrappy seem to be happy to refund money or work with fixing the problem.
i ordered from MAXPARTSLIST.COM over the phone (to confirm i got correct parts and were in stocK)
guy claimed they had everything i needed. happily took my order and CC info. happy ended there
after about 20 to 30 emails, and twice as many phone calls, over three months (with a customer's 150 buggy) i had received only two of the six parts i ordered, and two parts that were incorrect. they refused to send me the RMA number they said i must request to return their part in 10 days for credit
they claimed they had sent me all my parts, and that they had even sent the replacement parts for the incorrect parts, and that i needed to ship back the incorrect parts or be charged. the first package only had 2 parts, the second package had the incorrect parts. they gave me the second package's tracking number as the "replacement parts" even though it showed that package delivered THE DAY I TOLD THEM IT WAS WRONG.
i eventually had to contact the credit card company. still working on getting the money back. the company told me to "stop harassing them" even though they refused to fill my original order or replace the incorrect parts i recieved. im actually gonna go make a whole thread about them now so people know not to order from them!!

Not having a good first experience with them. Ordered and paid for a variator from their eBay on the 29th. Should have shipped Monday but didn't ship till Tuesday. It is now stuck in limbo in the USPS system, hasn't updated since the 2nd. Expected delivery date was today and didn't show up. Really ticked about this, I know this is mostly on USPS, but if they would have shipped it Monday as they should have since I paid 2 days earlier this might have happened.

I've ordered a number of times from scrappy, and I can't say enough for them. I think my current order is on the container tho... so I'm hoping is shows up sometime next week (Stator Rotor for a 250), but Scrappy has always been awesome to deal with. You have to remember, when you order things from any vendor, online or otherwise, sometimes things just happen. I am actually a buyer by profession, so I buy more things online, then percent of you, and I can say, scrappy has been a good vendor to deal with. So has Mainley and scooter elements. This is actually the first time I've had a back order with scrappy. Instead of canceling, I decided I'd wait as I know I'll get the correct part.

I cancelled my order a few weeks ago--- was waiting on the BBK. Almost 3 weeks before I made the decision to cancel. I couldn't wait any longer, I had to get the scoot running. I'm not really mad at them. Sometimes things happen to where any of us, including them, can't really do anything about it. For my situation anyway.

Imagine my surprise wheen the mailman handed me the package TODAY Variator, coil, cam weights, jets and a flywheel puller. and i'm on the east coast! Happy happy ;D after the last experience(they got a bad shipment, and then customs held it up) this was a pleasant deal all the way! sorry you're having problems.

Actually I have little to complain about, in making my purchase right, I have a brand new complete 150 engine... Have no frame or anything to put it in, but I have the engine.... So I guess after I make Fawkes a stroker again ( And I'm em considering scrappys stroker crankshaft this time ), I have my next project LOL it's a 150' perhaps it will be a stroker too, haven't decided yet...

Well, I can definitely put a couple of positives in for SDS....
1. Each time I've ordered from them using EBay, the shipment arrives at LEAST one day earlier than quoted. I've bought a couple items from there and will continue to do so.
2. Asked a engine-related tech question, and got a concise, prompt response from Mo. Very knowledgeable guy!
3. Speaking of Mo, his recent YouTube videos are quite comprehensive and easy to follow. When I get my 100cc BBK next week, I'll feel confident installing the BBK myself.
This is why I have SDS on my shortlist of companies I'll buy from repeatedly. Excellent parts, prices, and people that know their stuff is what keeps my respect.
