Boy did i have that one wrong, I did some research on the engine, it's a 150cc case, but only an 83cc head and piston.. The engine code is 1P50QMG.. God I'm shocked I didn't know they even did such a thing.. Glad nobody expressed any interest in it...
I wonder if putting a 57mm head and piston would be worth it... No body would want this... I have no frame to put it in, but if i did, I would not want it either...

>:(Lucky dog!! I wish they gave me one too. I'm trying a hoca piston in the bbk,I put new rings on the scrappys piston, got a new head with the right valves in it, but compression is way low. I dont know what it was before I overheated it but the small factory piston gives me 160 psi, and the 50mm -100. Not good. I just don't have any use for it, I really never did, and recent changes in my life I'm thinking its better to just sell it to somebody who can use it, here it will just collect dust... So you have a new head, cylinder, piston, and installed new rings.. And all your getting is to 100 psi ? did you try squirting a little oil down the spark plug hole and trying another compression test ?

Hi josiahgould I would check the ground going to the voltage regulator. The voltage regulator takes the excess power the lights don't need and dumps it to the frame of the scooter, if it loses it's ground it can no longer dump the excess power, and that power goes to the headlights blowing out the bulbs...
Take the voltage regulator off, sand a bare spot on the side that goes to the frame, where the bolt hole is, get some dielectric grease and put in on the sanded spot, sand the frame a little where the regulator bolts to the frame.. Replace your bulbs and enjoy....
Honda elites actually have a additional ground wire going to the voltage regulator that is attached by the regulators mounting bolt, in addition to the regulator grounding to the frame... Chinese scoots don't... Hope this helps..

Hummmm well many people like trikes, others ride them for health reasons. I believe health reasons awaits us all in time. As we get older it's nice to know things like this exist... Would I ride it ? Yea not sure i like the gyro idea, but id ride it before saying anything bad about it.

That's hard to say, you just drill them one at a time, and test after each till it's right... Fawkes as a stroker took 7, Fawkes now needed 10.. I know you would not think you would need more going down in cc's but that's what happened..

Personally I have good tires not so much for the daily ride, I have them for the emergency maneuvers one may have to make. When I'm maneuvering hard to get out of harms way, I need the absolute best my tires can provide. Yep never cheap your tires, your life depends on them more so than any other component on your bike..

Hi all my opinion is anything that blocks your senses is not good, one needs to hear as well as see whats happening around them to be safe.

No flack here, I know the laws in Indiana, and I know I don't agree with them, I honestly think they were written by a non rider.. There are those that will say the law is the law... And they are right, you really can't argue with the law, so if caught your in for a world of grief..
However I'm not much of a fan of the 50cc... IMHO I think they are underpowered for the traffic you deal with. I think they are designed for small runs to the corner store, side streets, and seldom are a true match for real world driving. 50's are slow forcing traffic to do stupid things to get around you. Often these "stupid things" other drivers do put you in danger as you don't have any reserve power to get out of the way, also your scoots response to the throttle is slow also causing problems..
For me Id say it's a judgement call, Scoots that can keep up with traffic are actually far less dangerous in traffic than ones that don't. Scoots that have reserve power have more options in getting out of the way than those that don't.. You will have to judge your situation and decide whats better for you, taking the risk of possible getting caught, and the world of legal grief that will ensue, or being safe.. Personally Id rather be safe....

I don't know, I just feel more comfortable on two wheels than I do in a car or truck, I have noting against 4 wheeled vehicles they have their uses, just prefer the two wheeled ones...

So a little bit ago someone started a thread about those racing fans that overheat engines. I found another type of fan that looks stock but suppose to be better and i posted a link to it and pics and people from here said the blades were reversed. So i send the manufacturer a message telling him what others have said about the fans and this was what he wrote me back today. What do you guys think? Dear scooterelements, Dear Sir, I had to tell you one secret, the GY6 old stock cooling fan was a wrong design about 30 years ago, that's why GY6 engine always overheated. The old stock fan would inhale the hot air into the engine while it exhaust the hot air, so the engine always inhale hot air, there are no cool air into it, so the engine would be overheated. That's why now many scooter factories in Taiwan who use GY6 engine (like SYM) change the old stock cooling fan design, the new stock cooling fan is clockwise design, like ours fan (you can see as follw photo). Our high flow cooling fan blades were calculated and tested very precisely when our engineer designed them, so it never become what you said. To see is to believe, i can present some our cooling fans to you for testing, but you have to pay the shipping fee. I believe that if you test them, you will love them, and never use the old stock design. How do you think about? And do you know propeller is one of our products? So scooter cooling fun is a piece of cake for us. Waitting for your response. I would be comfortable using any of these fans, blades are going the correct direction on all three... I didn't even know HP fans had reversed blades, until one day trying to figure out my over heating problem I just happened to notice it by accident...

Hi Guys I run Pirelli SL 26 Performance Front/Rear 120/90j/10 They are taller and wider than stock, and I noticed lately while gps ing my speeds that my speedo is dead on with this tire.. They are smooth running tires, grips well in wet and dry conditions.. Love em, I agree with sailracer, your tires are the very heart of your scoot and driving. Getting rid of the cheap Chinese tires is probably the best investment in your safety you can make next to your helmet.
Especially if your upgrading your power.....
