howdy, i found the softest setting was letting the shock bottom out and that was jarring the heck outa my already injured back. i set it up two notches and the ride was much softer. i just finnished a 960 mile round trip and it rode great.

howdy, while i can't give and "average" i can say after having 4 scooters that if driven conservatively they should last 10,000 miles. i sold two scooters with in excess of 8,000 and neither needed tires. i have over 4 thousand on the newest and i shows no wear yet. however, i do brake mostly with the front brake under normal conditions in order to put some of the wear on the front that most would have on the rear which almost always wear out first.

howdy, answering the question what do i ride
i have the piaggio 350=330 cc and 33 hp. on the freeway i just put it at the speed limit and cruise. except idaho where the speed limit on the freeway was 75. it would keep that all day but i don't see a reason to ask that of it since the wind load seems to really climb above 70.

howdy , yup a little scepticism is great. the web is fine but there is no accountability. you can post anything and not be held accountable for the inaccuracies. that is also why getting all your news that way is an incomplete and innacurate picture ot the world. they don't even have to retract items proven innacurate.

howdy, yup, i'm having the same dilema having just returned from the longest round trip. as you indicated the foot rest area is so narrow that there is no place to move your feet and the toes stick into a niche for that purpose further restricting the angle you can move to. that was my main discomfort during the two 130 mile stretches without a fuel stop( i mean no fuel even available). 130 miles from bend to burns oregon and about the same from burns to i-forgot-where. i fueled at nyssa oregon and it was 134 miles. on the way back i rode 160 miles till i fueled , from meridian idaho to la grande oregon.
anyway, if anyone knows of a way to add road pegs, i'd like to see it.

howdy, this comment is un-necessary at this point, but for the future, i think there are anti seize or other lubes that need to go on the headbolt before trying to install it so that the torque you apply is actually tightening the bolt instead of just twisting it off. it appears you may have cross threaded? i guess that is highly unlikely but you should clean out the threads in the block before re installing that bolt should you be so blessed as to get it out.

howdy i'm gonna come along and say you really need gremlin bells though it may be too late. if it is a two stroke and the oil reservoir is empty (gulp) that could explain why the starter has to work so long to get it started, that it blows the fuse. if it overheated with plain gas to burn, it seizes the piston and scores that and the cylinder walls. they are easy to rebuild though so not a dead loss if you got it for very little money.

howdy, yup, and i have a new ridin' friend that needs one of those though his honda is so quiet, the gremlins mostly don't realize he has arrived so they have no time to do all that badd stuff. thanks for the thread.
lotsa miles and smiles to ya.
i head out tomorrow morning for a three hundred mile day to burns oregon and another 2 hundred or so to the boise area. if i can figure out my smarter -than-me phone i'll get a picture or two and share the ride. lotsa mountains and desert , places where i've chased coyotes off the runway so i could get the plane into the air. ken
