I am not a geek. I am was a telecommunications technician, 1966-2011. I installed WiFi in Ma Bell. ( Ref etc. ) Heat will not slow you down. It can cook the insides and it will die. My router is propped up to a 45 degree for cooling. I have an access point and external omni antenna available. It was tested to connect 700 feet to my laptop. I need to set up a wireless IP camera / small battery / solar panel. Will cost about $200. I think. I haven't looked at what is available for a few months.

The horns are fantasy. In reality the Vikings ruled. I am a cross of Cossack and Norman English with a touch of Scottish. The Vikings did not rape and pillage Scotland, the Scots thought the Vikings were just having fun. Vikings settled in France, Normandy, and the Normans moved in England in 1066 and that was the last people that invade England. The Vikings also went into Russia, and south and took Kiev circa AD850. Which means I am partially Viking on both sides of the family. On the other hand, the Spartans were minions. Macho? I don't think so: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homosexuality_in_the_militaries_of_ancient_Greece

Soup Nazi was a character on Seinfeld, right? And Wolfgang Puck is a real chef, right? Going with reality over fiction. Seinfeld episode written after going to Ali Yeganeh's Soup Kitchen. A stone-faced immigrant chef with a thick Stalin-esque moustache, he is renowned throughout Manhattan for his soups. He demands that all customers in his restaurant meticulously follow his strict queuing, ordering, and payment policies. Failure to adhere to his demands brings the stern admonition ("No soup for you!"), whereupon the customer is refunded and denied his or her order. He will then yell at the top of his lungs to the next person in line, "Next!"

I have 11" tire front, 10" rear, M-speed (81mph) Heidenau tires. I do go over 65 mph, but I don't think I ever did over 70. On the Interstates I generally cruise 60-62 mph. At 60-62 mph I get 70-75 mpg. Cruising WOT at 65-66 mph I get 60 mpg.
But my little tires are just fine on the highways.
Classic Austin Mini Coopers can do 100 mph on 10" tires.

Taffy was a Welshman, Taffy was a thief; Taffy came to my house and stole a piece of beef.... -- Nancy Cock's Pretty Song Book, 1780
Whatever. I saw Tom Jones in Las Vegas -- that guy can sing. AND he helped save the world when Mars Attacked.

The local ice rink is totally inside, all I can get is a picture of the outside part of the building. (In SoCal we don't do ice outside.) mostly

... "Without any doubt, riding a motorcycle is a risk-taking behavior, which should induce emotional and physical stress...." Speak for yourself, but in my opinion riding a motorcycle is not really risky; and I have less stress on the scooter than simply walking. I started riding on two wheelers when I was about 30 months of age -- I assume the older neighborhood girls thought I was cute, trying to ride one of their bicycles. "Counter Steering" is as instinctively as walking. Avoiding things on the bike is no harder then avoiding things when walking. I have done more time walking than riding, but probably more miles on two wheels than walking -- and I have been hurt far often walking. Physical stress is far more walking than riding. On the scoot I sit on the seat and mostly just lean on my hands on the bar. Control is just a gently roll on the throttle, and braking is not difficult. At a stop I no more than 20 pounds on the ground. Walking is hard work. Every step puts 200 pounds on the ground. If I do at a normal walking speed I have to stop in 100 feet or so to catch my breath.

Yeah... But the *intention* of the law doesn't matter, it is what the law actually says is what matters.

I'd go with Dachshund as well, the oxen is submissive, being submissive is not macho. Good point! I love watching the Wiener Races. --

Traffic is insane. I went breakfast with another Ma Bell retiree, stopped in five stores on the way home. I was really glad I was on the scooter than in a cage. Tomorrow morning there will be a lot of husbands running to the store for "darn it, we are out of...." Wife has already told me we forgot the celery. Not a problem, on the scoot.

... Only negative I see is the top speed of 108 km/hr... 67 mph .... The math doesn't match. Top speed is roughly square root of horsepower. My LX150 is 11.7 bhp and I can do 65 mph sitting straight up. Grandpa cites 13KW, 17.4 bhp, and the math says it should be able to hit 79 mph. A bit slower if it blocks more wind, but not much.

... People who ride without the proper gear on are driving insurance rates to insane levels .... If "proper gear" would save insurance companies then the insurance rates would be lower for those wear "gear." They never asked me what I wear when riding, but they did kick rate up a hair when I sold my 652cc cruiser and got 151cc Vespa.
