... It's the TORQUE of the Harley that is SO friggin' addictive. ... I watched the video, saw that it was going to be a 1/8th mile (or less) drag -- I was laughing before the race started.

Im sooooo sick of people telling me to get a 'real' bike. Whats wrong with my scooter?? I can outrun some motorcycles. I got people telling me to get a Harley.... What people? I have only had one group of idiots telling me to get a Harley -- and they were in a cage. Some (many? most?) non-rider people think the only proper motorcycle is a Harley. I have never had a rider tell me I should get a Harley -- even the employees at the Harley Dealership. On the road I get as many or maybe more waves than when I was on the Savage. It may be me, I'm ugly. Ride Your Own Ride.

Poured fuel down the intake. Runs then dies. Tried again. Starts. As I feather the throttle I can feel the engine start to die. Tried more gas down the intake. .... You pour gas in the intake, run for a while, stops. Ah.... I am not a mechanic, but it sounds like you are not getting gasoline thru the carb. I would stop with by pulling a hose to see that I am getting gasoline in and out of the tank, and it not that it will be a stuck float or clogged jet.

Some people can not see my wife, in bright New Beetle with daylight headlights. On my way to work someone ran a red light and the other trusted the green, on Sept.22,'03 and again on Sept.22,'04. If you think others will see you you will expect them to not hit you and you will be not watching -- and that is when you will be hit. I do not need flashing lights or colors. I do not need others to see me. I will see them and I will avoid them.

Paladin yes it was a true bread knife and It's the seconds time i've done it. ;D Once is an accident. Twice would be to verify that, yes, slicing fingers is not a good idea. If you manage it again it will be habit. My fingers generally bleed about once a year, but only five noticeable scars.

Definition of HOBBY : a pursuit outside one's regular occupation engaged in especially for relaxation Definition of OCCUPATION : an activity in which one engages My hobby is words, giving people the correct answer, which they often do not want to hear. To do this, I need to have the correct definition for the words. On my home page I have links to references to four dictionaries, WhoIs, Snopes, California Law, Blackstone, Thomas, DoI and Constitution, and the Statistical Abstract. I am on Yahoo!Answers, two personas so I can see those who have blocked me. I follow several Web Comics. Since being retired I have been able to be cooking. My beef stew takes over 3 hours, stroganoff takes over 2 hours. Ratatquille only takes 25 minutes cooking time, but about 45 minutes chopping and slicing. I think I did a good job of showing how to roll cabbage rolls. While I do enjoy riding, do not ride just for fun and I do not consider the scooter as a hobby. Likewise, photography is for an end, not just for taking pictures. Guns are tools, not a hobby.

... I know it will do 60+. I am wondering about his claim about 65 MPH as it is a 150cc .... I don't know about the Fly 150, but I do have a Vespa LX150 -- close enough? Hopped on the 405 in Torrance, hopped off Irvine, 40 miles per Google Maps, 39 minutes per my cell phone. Which means I averaged 61.5 mph. I kept up with traffic, mostly on the right lane but I did had to pass a couple of slower vehicles. I probably did 65 mph at times. At a hair over an indicated 70 mph the motor missed a little, I think it has a limiter. New last October, have listed every drop of fuel into the scooter, now had 2,700+ miles, 66.5 mpg per the odometer. I would expect 72 mpg with whatever California pumps in lieu of gasoline.

Back in '60's-'70's there was a surge of motorcycle/motorscooter. H-D rebadged small motorcycles and scooters. Lost money.
Currently, Harley-Davidson sells more than 50% of all 1000cc cruiser motorcycles. *ALL* other manufacturers combined sell less than 50%. H-D makes money building and selling big cruisers. Why would they want to lose money selling little scooters?
I was down to the Harley Dealer for parts for my Savage, come out and 3-4 people admiring my scooter. It is a lightweight 652cc single cylinder motor, just 380 pounds wet. It is roughly the same as the little 883 Sportster, 'cept the Sportster is over 550 pounds wet and has two cylinders. There are not enough people wanting a Thumper for H-D to engineer and produce, let alone a little scooter.
H-D is not going to produce a scooter. I would not buy a scooter at the H-D dealer.
I needed a replacement for my dead Savage. Wanted a lightweight city bike, tested the Vespa LX150 and found that it can do freeways, so I bought one.
I am in Gardena. My nearest Vespa Dealer is Honda of Santa Monica, about 12 miles away. They sell and service Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Kymco, and Piaggio/Vespa. Their mechanics work on motorcycles, and also scooters, at times, rarely.
I bought from Vespa of Sherman Oaks, about 26 miles away. For service I go and will contiue go to Vespa of Sherman Oaks because they only sell and service Piaggio vehicles. They know what they are doing. I do not want a motorcycle mechanic working on my motorscooter.

my father-in-law sent me a pic of the newspaper acticle in the Bham news this morning. But the lady at the DMV told me that i did have to the day i took my test. The "News" is generally wrong, none are better than weeklyworldnews.com/Kids that know better: moped2.org/laws/Alabama.htmThe Law: www.legislature.state.al.us/CodeofAlabama/1975/22786.htmThe State of Alamaba has motorcycles, and motor-driven cycles. There is no such thing as a "moped" or "motorized pedal bicycle" and does not have any 49cc or 50cc limit for not needing a motorcycle license.

You people gotta have several Store Front Churches -- you know, buildings that used to be stores but were sold and bought from a Church. This Store Window Church used to be a Wonder Bread store:

What? You don't have Dancing Statue of Liberty pushing income tax? How about Gorillas that want to buy your gold? Maybe a Giant Subway Sandwich? God! What a messed-up ecosystem!LOL my little slice of heaven had none of that.... Town of barely 5000 You can see such at least one every mile along Hawthorne Blvd. We are living in a different world. Let's see, something you might find that is common in L.A..... .... How about... but I got to tag it first....
