Yes, a GPS tracker would be idea to get thieves to leave your scooter alone, but GPS tracking systems cost big bucks too. You also don't want to alert someone, that you have one, otherwise they will search and take it off the scooter. Mine will work good for around here. It just detours thieves that would want to steal the motorcycle or scooter. Nothing is 100% guaranteed.. But with making a loud alarm that neighbors and we can here inside our mobilehomes, well this would scare off any thieves. The scooter and motorcycle are fully covered under insurance too. That is also in case of theft.. Insurance may go down a little if we tell them we have anti theft alarms on them also. Mine can be locked through disk too. So a thief could not take it rolling. Too immobilize it, one would be searching a good 2 minutes with the alarm going off. I heard some insurance companies will take off on the bill, if certain things are attached.

How many of you dawgs, have alarms on your scooters?... For along time now( 5 yrs) I have never had an alarm system on my Bali 250.. I read post, that said, the alarms drain the battery. So I never got one. Got to looking on Amazon and some hooked up to the scooter power source and others did not. Some were fairly expensive and others cost hardly anything. I got to looking at this one alarm system- it ran off its own power source( a 9v battery), put a alarm at 120 db that is loud, came with own key chain activator, cost $9.15 made in Hong Kong. Free shipping. So I ordered 2 and received them- one for my Bali 250 and the other for my wife's Honda Rebel. They both work go. The power source will last along time, because the alarm does not sound always. It is sort of like a smoke detector, in that it uses a 9v battery and is on continuously until alarm senses smoke. Most smoke detectors last 6 month before needing to change battery. So the same principle is setup with this alarm, that it only sounds if scooter is slightly moved, tampered with.. It will scare a thief.. Attachments:

I hope that St Peter lets me in the Pearly Gates.. lol... Seriously, I live in a trailer park in Missouri.. Trailer parks are a bad place for thieves. So this week I got two security alarms- one for the Bali 250 scooter and the other for my wife's Honda Rebel. The security alarms cost $9.15 new on Amazon. They sound at 120 db if tampered with. Real sensitive alarms. They are run by there own power source. Comes with 9v battery and key chain activated.

Ya, it looks bad, if he lives in a State that requires registering and insuring. It is because, having no insurance, usually put one in the wrong no matter what. It might mean suspension of drivers license- court cost too. But like on my 250 scoot, I would never ride without insurance nor proper registration or updated permit.

In Missouri, you need not register nor get insurance on a 49cc scooter. Must have valid drivers license( regular car drivers license). The homeowners insurance covers accidents with a vehicle, if a accident occurs with a 49cc scooter. If larger engine displacement( like a 150cc) well than, you are responsible to register it as a motorcycle, you are to have insurance and a class M motorcycle license or permit.

I would have to say, being placed in a coffin.. I already had a severe stroke at age 16. So this will not detour me from riding. lol

That is awful.. Most States don't require registration on a 49cc scooter. In Missouri, a person could buy a 49cc scooter without registerating it, get to operate without insurance. It is classified as a motorized bicycle. It only requires a car drivers license to operate. It is a vehicle and must obey laws of road- and can operate a 49cc scooter on State highway. Must stay in right of lane to allow traffic to pass safely.. Attachments:

Well my whole scooter did not need painting, but some parts got damage when fell over in a thunderstorm. Done a little over $500 in damage. So the helmet shield was broke and the piece came in white verses blue. So a started painting other paints white to make it appear, that it came that way. Than put pinstriping on scooter, placed led lights on windshield verses mirrors, ordered new diamond shaped mirrors, black seat cover, ect.. until it looked cool.. ;D Attachments:
