I wish I had have found a deal like this before I bought that new YY250T in 2011. There is a man who has a 2007 Honda Silverwing here in Yuma AZ where we are spending the winter for $2495. Just over 7000 miles on it Really nice clean machine. I paid $3300 for my 07 Reflex in April with 15250 miles on it. I would think about trading for it except I'd have to build a totally new rack for the back of the motor home and the Reflex does just fine. If anyone is interested PM me and I'll get his # for you.

I chose the 250 for the ability to go on the interstates if I need to (and frequently do) and scooter for weather protection. To get the weather protection on a MC it has to be a large full dress. IMO the Bergmans or Silver Wing come close to a lot of MCs in performance. Also I chose the 250 because it is easier to haul on the back of our motor home.

I understand the $ part but I also know that the initial coast and the total cost are frequently very different. I've been riding since 1960 and at that time AR did not require and MC endorsement. When we moved to AZ ('71) they did, I think it cost me $5 back then. Things have changed a lot since then. I've also seen people go the 50 route and a 50 was not adequate for what they wanted and it didn't last.

We are a long way from New Hampshire. We are presently spending the winter in Yuma AZ where the nights get down to 50-55 and the days are 65-70. And every day is a riding day.

I'm always amazed at how many people buy a 50 and immediately try to hop them up when 150 are not that much more, probably no more than the 50 plus mods.

I'll try to take a picture of my rack today and post it here. It is also an extended hitch so we can tow our Smart car.

Ally is right (of course). The stock Znen ZN150T that I had would top out at about 58, do 45-50 up 6% grades. It was a larger touring with large windshield, almost as large as the YY250T or Reflex.

I really like the B 400. One of my neighbors here in the RV park has one and thinks it is too heavy, likes my Reflex. I could probably trade straight across, they are both 07s but I would have to build a completely new rack on the back of the motor home. According to the specs the B is 114 lbs. heavier plus larger. Would take a larger stronger rack mounted differently. I'll just stay with the Reflex.

I bought a 2007 Honda Reflex with 15,250 miles on it in April and I have already ridden more than 10,000 miles on it. Oil changes and tires is all it has needed. Just today I put a 28 inch windshield on it, WOW what a difference.

When I visited JR last July he showed me the GIVI windshields that he has on his and his wife's scooters. When we got to where we thought we would be long enough for it to arrive before or while we would be there I ordered one from the place with the best price. That was late August. Immediately got an email saying they would ship it as soon as it arrived. When I checked other sellers, they were out of stock. I told them to call me when they got it and I would give them the current address. Last update said they were promised by GIVI they would have it Jan. 14, 2014 but GIVI had promised several delivery dates before that did not happen. Searching the internet I ran across this windshield that is 5 inches taller than the standard Reflex windshield. The GIVI in 2 inches taller. www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2047675.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0&_nkw=HONDA+NSS250+REFLEX+2001-2006+28%22+TALL%2C+15%22+WIDE%2C+CLEAR+WINDSHIELD&_sacat=0&_from=R40I ordered it Monday the 16th (a birthday present to myself) and it came today. I went for a short ride and WOW what a difference, almost NO wind noise in my helmet. It is not only 5 inches taller but significantly wider. I'll take a picture tomorrow and post it.

It is a temptation for me to say it is really easy, but then I've been working on things mechanical for near 60 years. On the one I had it was necessary to remove the "plastic" in front of the seat and the hump between the foot rests. The valve adjustments are under two plugs or caps on the top of the head. Rotate the engine so that both valves are in the closed position and use a feeler gauge to check valve clearance. I used .03 for intake and .04 on the exhaust. There are threaded adjusters with lock nuts for making adjustments. I think JR will soon chime in with a link to a video on how to do it.
